The job market around here is hard to get into unless you know someone. If you can network do it. And by this I dont mean go to business parties or what have you because that's not what I did, but try to get to know as many people as you can..you never know when someone might be able to help you. You may have to rely on several lower paying jobs instead of one good high paying one. Don't be ever let anyone make you feel ashamed, at least you are trying to better your situation. Good luck to everyone looking for work, I hope you all find it!

If you cannot pay your bills there are services in the community to help you. go into www.hisvoiceonline.com and see the part of the middle georgia services. Warner Robins loves to cut their water off but if it was turned off in error..they need to cut it back on asap!

Come to Milledgeville! Wonderful city filled with historic buildings, a great college and respected music and arts community. However, no jobs. We just lost 600 jobs when Rheem offshored thier factory to Mexico. Good luck. Wake up and smell the economic trend in the U.S. There are very few full-time jobs anywhere in the U.S. Are you all acluistic as to what in the hell is going on in this country or do you think Warner Robins is the only place that is having difficulty providing jobs for it's citizens?

Get out while you can. There are no decent jobs here. Those lucky enough to have an uncle on base may get a good job, but otherwise it's better to just move on.

I am trying to figure out why they keep building all theses darn hotels and there is nothing in this city that is a major attraction. They need to spruce up the Galleria Mall and bring some of the big corperations here so people will not have to travel to Macon and Atl even. When I say big corperations I mean a Sam's or BJ's, resturants like The Cheesecake Factory, TGIFridays. Maybe if the focus on keeping the money in the city/county there will be room for more jobs.. And I am sick of all these Strip Malls.. Really...

I'm 21yrs old now and a high school graduate. I lived in Macon most of my live but recently moved to Warner Robins to live with my fiance. my first job in Macon I had at 16 and I was making about $40 a week but only working two and a half hours a week. I then moved out from my parent's when I was 19 and got a job working in Home Construction making $700 a week. Only problem was I ended up getting severe back problems and the economy in the housing business dropped way down. I was forced to leave. I then applied at all sorts of jobs in Warner Robins so I could move in with my fiance. Turns out only fast food places hire. Good luck getting a job here if you are looking for something other then fast food or retail. I am working at McDonald's and not making near enough. And now my fiance wants to quiet his job at a factory that he is making good money (especially for being a high school drop out and not even having a GED) because he can't stand the people he is working with. Looks like I made a mistake by moving here.
And it's near impossible to get a job on base unless you want to join the army and probably making as much as I make at McDonald's. |

I get job offers all the time here. You just have to present yourself in a professional manner. Take out the danged lip rings, put on some clothes and stop talking like you were raised by Tupac. At 21 years old you cant expect to be paid like upper management, you can expect to work towards that goal. Heres an interesting idea, for those with a clear background, go to the Sheriffs Department and apply at the jail. They always have jobs. Try the 911 Center as a dispatcher.
