Diamond Acres

Just read online that Diamond Acres had a fire earlier this year and hoped to reopen. Can any one tell me the status??? THX

Still haven't started to rebuild, sounds like there have been talk of it but nothing for sure yet.

Thank you SO much for your response...was beginning to think no one reads these posts in NH...Hope they do rebuild was a great place. We counted on making it a stop on all our vacations. Haven't had the heart to tell my kids what happened yet. Hope there is good news soon. Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

Atleast the ice cream cone is still there... We have been going for years to the area of NH and thats always the sign that we are almost at camp.

It is now summer of 2009. Did Diamond Acres rebuild? I just read that it burned down and had not been aware until now. Obviously, I haven't gotten over there in the past few years

Hi Linda..I was up there a couple of weeks ago. It looks like they cleared up the debris from fire but I couldn't see where they have started to rebuild. Was HOPING someone from the area that would be in the know would respond on here!!

I couldn't believe it when I saw that it had burned down. I live in Atlanta, but I have roots in Henniker. I travel to N.H. often by the way of Hillsboro on Rt 209. I went there many times as a small child, and now, as a 41 year old, I want to share some of those same experiences with my children. I do hope it will get rebuilt.

Diamond Acres is still not rebuilt or has anything pending. Will update if I see anything!

I have just returned from our annual Thanksgiving getaway in New Hampshire, and the last place we stop on our way back to CT is Diamond Acres, well imagine our shock and sadness when the deck was blocking the entrance to our favorite ice cream & burger place. My wife and daughter were in tears, and I was choking them back myself. It did not look as though anything was happening, but it did seem as though a new foundation was poured some time ago, but nothing since. I really hope that whoever owns this wonderful place is planning on rebuilding. Anyone with updates can e-mail me at Globwa@optonline.net it would be appreciated.
