Rio Vista replies on its audit

A deadline for the River Delta Unified School District to complete a performance audit on school construction bonds approved by voters three years ago, is not feasible and more time will be needed.

Well what did you expect. One bureaucracy expects another bureaucracy to have a sense of urgency. All fantasy land.

Newell has told the D.A. he must wait.This is the same attitude he has displayed with the Bond Comm. for 3 years.The District has failed to bid out some projects and services, not met project timlines,exceded projected costs,refused to supply the Bond Comm. with the documentation needed to carry out their responsibilities, and your surprised he's avoiding an audit.D.A. Paulson must adhere to his schedule, and get a Judge to back it up.

Good idea. If the school district still doesn't comply, hold the Superintendent in contempt of court, then hire an outside auditor to do the work. Bill the district for the expense.
