The 146-year-old Yankee Silversmith Inn to close for good

So sorry to see it go. Another landmark down the tubes, no doubt another victim of the Bush economy. Be prepared to see more of these things coming to pass.

I married there two and a half years ago and I drive by it daily. I will miss it when it is no longer there to remind me of the second most wonderful day of my life. The best was the birth of our daughter.

Don't dispair all you fans of the YANKEE SILVERSMITH INN. In a few minutes I will be listing a silver plate spoon on ebay that was once used at this fine Inn (probably during the 1920's to 1930's.) Just put in YANKEE SILVERSMITH INN and you'l get to the auction.

One of my favorite restaurants and it has gone! So much history in one little place and One of the longest lasting landmarks in town. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful you forgot you were in the 21st century. The food was perfect can't forget the popovers with honey butter. What a shame, i guess all good things must come to an end.Too bad it had to be this place :(
