Why did she have to change citizenship? Why didn't she just get the treatment in Canada? Doesn't Canada offer free health care to its citizens?

it was not about health care benefits. It is about social security benefits from the United States that she was approved for, and entitled to.

Thank you for writing about this, without this type of press these people would still be battling bureaucracy.

Not that she doesn't deserve citizenship, but this news item is written with an editorial slant and should have been presented as an op/ed piece. The paper gets sold to someone who can't afford to hang on to their more experienced reporters, and we're left with this Rosario person? <sigh> We've been had.

Here comes Rueben again on the immigration crap. This time, he came from an angle that more people would be sympathetic to. Of course this woman is entitled to SS benefits. But just wait, he will compare it to some other situation in the near future and try to pass it off as the same.

Sandra went thru a bunch of bull. She already had papers showing she was a US citizen and she has to battle for SS benefits. WHy is it when the foreigners bring over there elderly who have never worked a day in there life that they can get the benefits once they apply for citizenship they can get benefits. I just dont get our SS systems. I am 51 years old and I dont think that there will even be any money for when I do get to retired. I have already worked 35 years of my life. I really do hope that Sandra can beat this cancer. Its terrible that she had to go thru all of the crap that they made her go thru. I pray that everything works for the best for her and her family. I hope that people who write on here stop writing negative things because if she has a computer she will see what is being said and she doesnt need anymore heartbreaking remarks made towards her and her family. Sandra God Bless you.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Capricorn

You're feeling edgy as Mars moves into reverse, and it won't be long before people start to get on your nerves. You might get very irritated by someone's funny little habits, yet feel you daren't say anything in case you go overboard. Or you could get very annoyed when someone blurts out something that was supposed to be a secret but which quickly becomes common knowledge.
