I had both Harriet and Bassil Dunn as teachers at Kalakaua. I remember them as strict but fair educators who encouraged me to do my best. It was nice to read this article on their legacy in academics.

yep, smells fishy to me. everybody knows that DOE administrators need to make Dem party payola. 4 in one family means lots of $. i met the old man once, seemed aloof. like i said, it smells.

This was an inspiring article about a family making a difference in Hawaii. The news should continue to report about the positive events and successes in life. We are bombarded with enough negativity in this world. Thank you for all that you do!

Fishy what??? What do you mean make Dem party payola? 4 in a family means that they worked to get where they are now.
I think before you judge you need to meet the people better instead of judging. What do you do???

I went to college at the University of Denver with Bassil Dunn in 1949...could this be the same Bassil Dunn...
