Shawna, Shawn was a friend of a friend of mine.
Good to hear from his friends that knew him.

Lotta haters on here posting cheap shots and put downs, no better than a bunch of vandals, spray painting grafitti.

What was he "hilarious about? How he got some fourteen-year-old girl to rip off her parents in order to buy his drugs? Just what do drug dealers find that is so hilarious that you want to be with them?

I knew Shawn since elementary dayz, and Shawn had a comedian part of him that made people laugh and smile. Although people may not know the 'whole' Shawn and may be the haters, he was a good person too. And thats the memory I will hold on to no matter what people say about him.

I look at it this way. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Maybe seeing stuff like this will make the living stop and think about what they're doing, how it's viewed by others, how many people they hurt, and what kind of legacy and memories they will leave behind when they die. Dying doesn't suddenly make you a hero, or wipe out all of the bad things you've done. Neither does saying you're sorry.
It sounds as though Shawn was a "nice" guy, who was "trying" to turn his life around. OK, that's all good - but I wonder how all of the people who he sold drugs to, their friends and families who also were brought down, are doing? What about the victims he assaulted, who he stole from, whose property he damaged? Would they say he was a "nice" guy? Sounds like he was "nice" if you happened to be on the right side of him. And what was he doing going to bars if he was serious about changing things?
The sad truth is that not everything in life can be undone. I wish, as much as anyone out there! But you can't, and dying doesn't wipe the blotter clean. We leave behind who and what we leave behind. Whether we made things better, and people are the better for having had us in their lives - it's up to us, while we're still here.

How it's viewed by others...lol. The rule is: take the cheap shots. Then act innocent when the light gets turned on. Like cockaroaches. What's with all the hate? Why the attitude? Actually I know the answer. The negative, wise-arse mouthing off is the rule, not the exception. I get surprised when someone is actually nice.

Selling drugs, assault, theft, property damage, TROs. Forget about feeling sorry for his victims on that end of the stick. Let's be positive! "He was a nice guy!!"

No, it's not "hate." It's not "attitude" or "wise -*ss." It's not "negative." It's "the truth." Funny how after all he's responsible for, you only see all that in the people who criticize him here. Who was the one who lived a life with hate, attitude, negativity? I'll take a bad-mouthing poster on a forum any day over someone who's gonna sell drugs, assault, steal, threaten people, or damage property. If anyone's "hiding," it's people who are in denial over what he did.

Shawn made choices. That people may bad mouth him here is the result of HIS choices. If he lived a good life, his critics wouldn't have any ammunition. I feel bad for his family and friends, but they are his victims too. By trying to gloss the bad over when someone dies, you only enable more of the same.

I knew this man for a very long time, 12 years or so. I am going to tell you this. I will not condone what he did once in his life, but I will tell everyone this. He is a man who does have a heart and should have never been murdered. Everyone in their lives had made mistakes maybe not the same as Shawn. He had a side to him that was remarkable. His family and children were very important to him. He would financially and physically be there the best way he knew how. At that time selling drugs was the way for him. No one knows how he was raised except for his parents. I use to sit down and have long conversions with him about what was important to him and you know what he said. He didn't want his children to go through life like him. He made mistakes like me and you, but I will tell you this he will always be a part of my heart. I want everyone to be careful out there. Watch yourselves because the war is going to begin. No such thing as old school fist fighting anymore. GUNS are coming and I hate to see these Mainland people come. Family is very important to Hawaii people no matter what someone may have done in their life. Please everyone watch and learn from this. I LOVE U SHAWNY BOY AVILLA

But why are u even talking sh!t about him in the first place, or as u put it, talking truth?

And are u just making up stuff about theft, prop damage, TRO's? Do u have proof about all these accusations? Or u just making up stuff about a dead guy?

No, not everyone makes mistakes on his level. HIS family was important to him, and MY family and friends could have been his victims. I provide for my family and don't go out commiting crimes to do it. He did make a big mistake, be went to a gunfight without his gun. He was planning on handing out a beatdown and wentdown instead. Don't expect sympathy from the people he victimized all his life just so he could have shiny rims. Getting dead doesn't command respect, that's the gang-banger mentality. I care as much about him as he did about me, fair enough?

We gotta admit it folks... Absolutely no reason; nilch nada none ----- for being out walking around past 4 AM in the Keeaumoku street area unless you are up to no good or you are an isloated, lonely person.

My intention is NOT to flame anybody here; I am terribly sorry for all the friends and family. god rest his sole and may those in similar situations be able to get the help they need...

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Capricorn

Don't let anyone stand in the way of your progress and don't reveal personal secrets. You could very easily become run down at the moment. An empty promise could leave you feeling sad. If you're working today, there could be some problems: stick to your own work and make sure that someone doesn't try to take credit for your efforts.
