Can't we all get along? I can't wait to see Korean shop owners in front of their stores with semi-automatic weapons.

Save the Cost of Concrete Pillars at $5K, and just go get some of those boulders off the surrounding hillsides around O`ahu.
Wash um down, and display them with potted plants or palms in front of access or weak areas in the building.

A multi-ton Rock will stop even the largest SUV.
Thank You

Folks, thanks to Furlough Fridays, punishing education, while encouraging ignorance, rewarding sloth and cultivating laziness, we can predict an exponential rise in these and other types of crimes that really are expression of trying to get something for nothing.

That is just a lesson learned by these criminals from the corrupt, one party control and manipulation by Hawaii Democrats.

Go Green!

yep, the concrete posts are the most useful. Too bad society has come to this low level as to take from someone who works hard to scoop their items. Another sign of degredation of our society....auwe.

Many may say this recent increase in crime is due to the economy. Not so! This is fueled by the need to purchase drugs, not "I lost my job, I can't feed my family, I can't pay my rent." Much of the blame for all this criminal activity can be placed at the door of our judicial system. From prosecutors unable to win a case without a plea deal, to judges who obviously believe in the "goodness of man," who continually release these criminals back into our community with a mere slap on the wrist. We have the laws, we are sorely missing a judicial system in this State.

What does this dull remark have to do with crooks ramming vehicles into shops and robbing them? Do you think Korean merchants are part of the problem or are you merely a troll with race issues?

Well Geogogi, nice pix BTW; this display of civil disobedience can be a prelude to more serious social unrest. Increasing welfare rolls, people without work, kids from broken homes, furlough Fridays, drug addiction, lack of hope and despair could be a deadly mix of social unrest. I was giving major props to those Korean store keepers fom the LA riots. Standing their post and protecting their property and business. An armed society is a protected society. Race issues? You are too sensitive love. I applaud them. Welfare rolls and people on the brink can lead to more of these incidents. Cultural governmental dependency has become somewhat normal. The welfare state has led to servility and socially dysfunctional behavior. Freed from the discipline of fiscal responsibility, and the norms of family and society, the ability to live a self-destructive life style and not perish is possible. The more dysfunctional the behavior the greater the subsidy it seems. This type of behavior is exemplified by the carnage and chaos that ensued in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. Looting and pillaging has become a typical reaction to a disaster. The welfare state has decivilized the people and now is reaping its reward. An increasingly unstable and chaotic society has been the result. Smoke that sweetheart.

Don't trouble yourself with "Rodney." It is obvious that "Rodney" has an agenda, and it is rather clear what his agenda plays upon. I agree that he is nothing more than a troll with race issues. But remember that trolls with race issues are entitled to their opinion regardless how tasteless and crude .....blah blah blah (right?)

Kinda dumb that Costco got hit since they're a big Mainland company and smash-and-grabs have been around a long time over there.

An armed society is a polite society. Hawaii has been legislated by bleeding-heart Dumocraps be be largely unarmed (a bullet in the head of the perps would have stopped any one of these crimes). So Hawaii is therefore condemned to become less and less polite until it becomes more and more legally armed and enabled to use said arms on the criminals.'Nuff said...

Well if HPD wants the public to assist in the capture of these people, then they should be putting out the info of these robberies ASAP! I heard about the Costco break-ins from someone who works within their company back in September, yet never read or saw anything about it in the news! If the public can get more details,i.e. photos from the video cameras,or more info on the type of vehicles used. I'm sure there are alot of people out there that are more aware of their neighbors who acquire different vehicle's every month or so, I know I've reported a neighbor in Nanakuli for this type of activity as well as their drug deals in broad daylight on the corner of Kahau & Mohihi Streets. As well as their late night pot smoking and drinking binges that start anywhere from 8pm and sometimes ending at 3am. HPD has been awesome!! whenever they've been called to disperse these disrespectful "adults!!
". These are not your high school kids or mid-twenty type crowds but men & women averaging mid thirties to mid fifties!! Talk about setting an example for the younger generation?! With people like this, it's no wonder the rest of us on the Westside of Oahu end up with a tarnished reputation!! They also should start picking up their opala & taking it back to their own homes, instead of letting it pile up in front of their neigbors homes or on their neighbors vehicles!! Auwe!

Seems like getting to be a mainland thing. BestBuy and Target has learned their lesson from their mainland stores on these types of robberies. A planter will not deter these thieves because they can just move them. What's needed is an immovable heavy object. I'm surprised there's no gate at night in 99 Ranch to section off the store. NOW they're going to hire a security guard? Prevention is the best policy to save a business. Hope the computer store had a record of serial numbers of their laptops so it can be traced if someone tries to activate the warranty service.
