you must camp out in the waimanalo mts at the base of the koolau. to access, go to corner of poliala/nalu st. get permission from residents to cross their property. hike up toward the mts through the bushes, between 50 to a 100 yards, until you see an old fallen ironwood pinetree with rusted old corrugated roofing and termite eaten wood. you are in the right place. as teenagers, we/6 of us, still surviving witnesses, spent 2 nights of terror in that treehouse. we never returned to the tree house after the second night. you may get lucky. we did-exactly 39 years ago.

Wherever one goes for this pupose, it's important to do so with complete respect. Kawaimaka is correct -- there are definitely those places and situations that should be left alone. Honolulu and Hawaii are full of such places.
