I totally agree that Barbara Kim was so beautiful and impeccably dressed on Televi Digest. I even remember her ballroom dancing on tv. So nice to read about her after all these years. She really made an impression on kids through out the islands that watched the show. Mahalo for this story.

I remembered performing on The Televi Digest show. Alice Shibata and I were called the "Honeybees" and tapped our hearts away. My mother, Mamie Pablin Sabihon, made our costumes. This was a memorable event while growing up in Hawaii. I see Barbara Kim once a year in Las Vegas when I attend the Leilehua High School Class of 1959 with my sister Winona Sabihon Taylor. We have a grand time and Hats off to Barbara for sharing her talents with us.

I thought she was a former Ms. Hawaii.
