The man has lost touch. I have 2 kids that went to this school and one of them was injured at school. The teachers didnt seem to care nor did this man! I talked with him about the situation and all he kept saying was "That boy" refering to my son. He didnt care or show a single bit of concern for the safty of the childeren. His statement was, "I guess you wont get satiscation from me" I just wanted to make sure what happened to my son did not happen to childeren.

im also 30 and went there back when it was still Maple Park. I remember Mr. Teague as never being one for staying in his office. He was always out n about in classrooms, recess, and other activites. Always involved with us kids, and seemed to be there for us. thank you Mr. Teague.

I'm 40 and remember Mr. Teague, I went to school there when it was just Maple Park, and I remember being sent to the principals office when I didn't do my math homework because I didn't understand it. Mr. Teague sat down in the cafeteria with about 4 of us and helped us. You don't principal's like that anymore! My son's principal would never do that, she'd blame it on the parents. This man is ethical, fair, and truly concerned about children and their education!

BucksTim, do you get a check everytime someone goes to the Lake County Sentinel web site. I see your post everywhere, and then you say check this out, and it has nothing to do with the thread you post it to!! You must be getting a kick back!!!!

Otherwise a great storey for a great person!!!! Good news finally!!

It's obvious the school is second rated. Freddie here, that went to school there just made the longest incorrect sentence I have ever read.

The principal should retire and let someone else manage this poor school. He's too old.

I have worked for him for years and Mr. Teague cares about all children. He helps them with their work and sits with them at lunch. He goes way beyond what most principles do. I have never seen a man that cares about children the way he does. You must be one of those parents that think there kid does no wrong no matter what. There had to be more to it that what you are saying. I have had 3 children come through this school and everyone one of them love him and he is there favorite principle. Even the kids who are in trouble alot of the time love him because they know he cares. Some people just aren't happy no matter what and want to blame the school for there lack of parenting skills.

I had Mr. Teague back in the 60's when I was in junior high at Wagoner. He is one of the teachers I will always remember - lots of fun and made learning interesting.

I read this article because I thought it would be interesting. I do not know the man, but I think it's great. On the other hand, you sound very direspectful. You should teach your children to respect their elders. I'm amazed. Who writes such rude comments???? You didn't happen to mention how your child was hurt. Obviously, it wasn't the schools fault if nothing came of it. Accidents happen, and you should teach your children to be responsible for their actions.

Not attacking your comments or feelings but....Kids get hurt and when it is your kid, it's a huge deal. Perhaps his approach is more "old school". Years ago schools nor parents made a huge deal out of "injuries" Most are just part of growing up of part of life.

Im glad you're his friend, folks need them. As far as being one of the parents who's kids do nothing wrong? WRONG!!!! I am on both sides here, the child and the school. Ask Principle Dixon... My beef is that nothing was done as far as getting my child treatment. He was sent to the nurse who was not at the school. He was sent unaccompanied!!! Not one authority figure in the school "incudling" the principal checked on him after... He went back to class and was in pain and bloody the whole day. My son had a broken wrist and broken nose! I understand childeren get hurt and that it is not always somebody's fault. Again, the lack of compassion and follow up by an adult and to top it off the comments from the principal...

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Gemini

Your eleventh house of friends and associates is activated by the Moon in Aries and it's time to go out and play with your friends. Even the Twins, who have been somewhat reclusive lately, will benefit from socializing tonight. A sense of relief will take hold when you realize that no one really has a better life than you. Sure, it might seem like someone else has a more glamorous existence, but if you could be a fly on the wall in their bedroom, you'd find they have nightmares, too!
