i wonder just how much time the robinson / waco police actually spent looking at other possible guilty parties BESIDES darlene gentry ? i mean, seriously , an intelligent member of the health care industry shoots her husband and then disposes of the gloves with DNA evidence on them in the KITCHEN TRASH CAN ??? give me a break......

A nurse ..... with latex gloves .....doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that some of the so-called evidence may have been coincidental. I swear, i think most people who join the police force do so because they have absolutely no other marketable skills what-so-ever.

I find it interesting that "another nurse" has forgotten about the Gentry video tape showing her searching the pond, trying to recover something ... like the murder weapon!

I spent a few hours watching the trial as part of the audience in the courtroom.
Perhaps you should consider that most of what many people know about Police work and Police Officers in general comes from too much Primetime.
It also doesn't take a "Rocket Scientist" to be a nurse, and this one was actually dumber than most. There were many topics covered in the trial that never made it to the newspaper, and the majority of these topics involved the utter stupidity of this nurse. She fired the first 4 attorneys she hired to defend her because ALL 4 of these lawyers, after seeing the evidence, advised her to plea bargain, and she wouldn't. This is why it took so long for this trial to take place - each new lawyer asked for a continuance to try to form a defense.
The "Rocket Scientist" lawyer she ended up with could barely form a complete sentence during the trial, and it was so "coincidental" that the latex glove with the DNA and shell casing were found to be missing AFTER the lawyer and his Private Investigator exmined the evidence. When asked about the missing glove, the PI said "Uhh.. I dunno where it went", and the lawyer, when asked by the Judge about it said "NO COMMENT". The gloves were already documented and tested by the police lab - their theft by the defense team was a stupid mistake on their part.
Yup, true "Rocket Scientists" her defense team were.
This was one case where it was almost cut and dried from the start. The pretty blonde nurse murdered her husband and threw the gun in a pond. She wrapped up the shell casing in a latex glove, and then hid the glove in the trash under a few pounds of Hamburger Helper. Wow - pure "Rocket Science"!
She told the owner of the pond that she wanted to buy the land because it had the pond, that her husband "always wanted a pond where he could take his boys fishing", then a few days later said she wanted to buy the land, but "fill in the pond" first. After being told that the pond would have to be drained first, she goes out to the pond AND IS VIDEOTAPED probing and searching THE SAME AREA where she had thrown the MURDER WEAPON which was found a week before by a Police Diver.
I know someone who was involved in the investigation of this murder, and she told me that the Police did consider other suspects, but the evidence was so compelling that the finger always came back to "the intelligent nurse". The local cops did consider every other suspect and actually tried to dispel the "coicidental" evidence, but the murdering nurse made it too simple. My friend told me the Robinson cops actually thought it was so obvious that she (Darlene) was responsible, they diliberately focused on every suspect BUT her to make sure they were giving her the benefit of the doubt. The first cops at the scene were right about her when after only 6 or 7 minutes, they thought the scene looked staged and she had something to do with it.
Sure, it was also coincidental that she had gunshot residue on her hands.
Yeah, she's a real "Rocket Scientist"... a real life "intelligent member fo the health care industry". She was a freakin' idiot, and she deserved much more than the jury gave her.

Who is the moron who said this? Don't worry - when the Taliban, Al-Queda, and the other terrorists arrive at the front door of YOUR home... you know the one, located at 1234 Dumbass Rd., it will be the same Police officers that you refer to as the "LAW ENFORCEMET CULT OF COWARDS" who will come to your defense while you are cowering under your sofa praying.

What some brainless people like you need to realize is why most Cops became Cops.. to truly "Protect and Serve" our communities... Even when the worthless and thankless slime like you and all the other Cop-haters are bashing them, they are out there.

Anyone with two brain cells to spark together can see that this woman is guilty as sin. The whole "heard a rumor" explanation for her digging around the pond is the biggest load I've ever heard. How her family can believe her is beyond me.

She can blink that wide-eyed look at the camera and declare her innocence all she wants, but she won't be able to make excuses to God. That girl is going to burn in hell, because she not only murdered her husband... she continues to lie about it.

In Re: Missing/Stollen gloves.
The defense team had one (1) opportunity to view the evidence prior to trial. The examination of the evidence was done by the investigator for the DA, who unbagged the evidence, showed it to the defense, who logged it and examined it, and returned it to the DA investigator, who re-bagged it. The only piece of evidence that was not logged by the defense was the "missing" gloves. This was because the gloves were NEVER presented to the defense team to examine. How could we know what happened to them if we never saw them? They were either lost or misplaced prior to the time of the defense examination of the evidence.
