Jewelry Adviser bad business practices in Vorhees

An online jewelry company, name Jewely Adviser, based in Vorhees is to be avoided. My Experience: Buying a birthday gift for my wife. Their shipping policy states next day delivery if order placed before 3 pm EST. 9 days later the items finally arrived, and are miniscule, a joke for the amount payed. The kicker, they take 10% "restocking fee" for returns, which seems to be they way they are making their money, it's certainly not service and quality.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience that Mr. Wheeler has experienced with our company. Mr. Wheeler was notified right after placing his order that the item he has ordered was not available for immediate shipping and after obtaining clients approval item was backordered for him. Package was sent to the client overnight without any additional charges and was delivered on time for his wifes birthday. Companys return policy is available for everyone to review before placing the order and Mr. Wheeler was well aware of the return policy since it is stated on the website as well as discussed in phone conversation with client.

i ordered some items on june 19 and on june 22 saw on the website that my order was "shipped". today is july 9 and i still haven't received anything. now when i try to log in, i get a message that "no user found" under my email address. i called them two days ago and was told that i hadn't received anything since the items were on backorder (very different from "shipped") and that they were having problems with the website, which is why i can't log in.
luckily, the items i purchased aren't very expensive, so i will just consider it a lesson that cost me some money. i figure Jewelry Adviser will lose more money than that just in bad publicity.

Ms. Wendi Berry placed her order on our online jewelry web store. We are very appreciative of her business with our company. Unfortunately, at the time of her order earrings were not available for shipping. After notifying Ms. Berry that her order is out of stock she agreed to wait and place her items on the back order.
Order was shipped and delivered to the address that was specified on the invoice.
Label/Receipt Number:********* 7396 2803 16
Our servers that were temporarily down due to the outage was the reason why Ms. Wendi Berry and other clients could not log into their accounts. It took couple of days to restore the system and it was completely out of our control.

To me it would seem that purchasing any kind of jewelry online is not a very prudent act. Stop and think for a moment. You would not purchase a new pair of shoes or a formal wear clothing outfit without trying on the same first to see if they fit and look well on you, so why would someone purchase jewelry from seeing just a photo of the same without personally examining it in- hand first? It boils down to good common sense people. Go to a reputable dealer with a brick-and-mortar store where you can examine the item IN PERSON and BEFORE you consider making a purchase. Again this is just good reliable common sense.

I too had a bad experience with Jewelry Adviser. I had ordered what I thought was a howlite bracelet . When I received it , the bracelet was so small I thought it was an infants bracelet. I then went on amazon looked around and found the exact item at another online jewelry store, only it was advertised as a scarf holder . That made much more sense , since it was so small. Contacted the company , and explained what had happened , they emailed me that I was wrong , and what was sent to me was a bracelet. I was then told I would only be refunded the bracelet cost , and not my shipping. I told them they sold me something that wasn't advertised correctly. I was then told again that I was wrong , and was sent a bracelet. I then took pictures , and sent them to the company to show it was not a bracelet. I also had to file a claim against them on Amazon . I have never dealt with such rude people . I have warned all my friends of this company. They lie , and are not to be trusted !

I agree. Avoid JA. I somehow missed their 'return policy' notification. So, I pay $5.60 return postage and a 'restocking fee' of 10%($15.00) for a $90.00 piece? 10% of $90.00 is $9.00. Do the math. They charged me $15.00! so...for paying a total of $20.60, I received absolutely...NOTHING!
Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!
