some homes located on west georgia ave in vivian, la. are having a lot of illegal activity. there is walking the streets with beer and honking of horns with people running out to do business ( need i say what kind?) the people that own these homes should be held accountable for their renters actions and how their visiters behave while at their home. there should be more focus on placing a better class of people ( those that actually work for a living) into these homes instead of h.u.d. people. what kind of people do you expect to draw? duh!!!!get a grip!!! a message to those that rent to this element of people, how would you like your daughter, girlfriend, or wife having to look at this activity and talked to badly when coming out of your house in a disrespectful manner? it would be a different story then would it not????

I agree with you. The drug activity in Vivian is ridiculus. Is the Vivian police dept. blind to this or part of it?
Its everywhere in Vivian. I had 3 drug house residents in 2 years across from me. You would have to be completely blind to not see this going on. Up the road is traffic at all hours on the weekends. This activity is being done by a handfull of people in Vivian, but it makes the rest of the neighborhood look bad. I have nothing against HUD housing or people that get assistance for housing because my grandmother raised me and we needed housing assistance. However, no one that lived in our complex (all HUD or section 8 residents) delt drugs, trashed places, or were just no class filthy mouthed people. We all had pride in what we had. We also had a manager on duty at all times that made sure people followed the rules and if not-you were evicted. I agree 100% with you about landlords being responsible for their renters. The owner of the house close to me knew what all of these renters were doing and put me and my household in danger because he was interested in making a buck. There are plenty of people in Vivian that are outstanding people with pride of their homes(rental or not)that are sick and tired of the dealers trashing the neighborhood while the police seem to not notice or not care. |

It was to my disappointment to visit the dollar general store in Vivian, LA..
I bought some items that were on a 90 per cent off table only to get fifty percent off. When I called it to the attention to the manager Anita, she, in the middle of checking my husband out and arguing with the customer, told me it was on the wrong table. There was only one table. When my husband handed her coupons, totaling 6 dollars, she rung up only one dollars worth and kept the rest. With all this said, I am not shopping there. |
