Hey,while they are all there-ARREST THEM! It says right there that some of them are ILLEGAL. These people are marching for their rights?! They have NO rights as they are here against the law...ILLEGALLY! And for the students cutting school-thats against the law too!
What is this world coming to? Shame on them!

I agree with all of the above. Illegal, hmmmmm, doesn't our government know what illegal means?
Let's get rid of those who don't in the next election.

To those of you marching that aren't illegal. Remember your taxes are rising because of those that are illegal. Turn them in. You contribute to social security, welfare and pay taxes and most likely speak English. You are welcome! Those that do not pay taxes, social security and do not speak English are not welcome here and should be deported. I'm sick and tired of supporting illegals. I'm also tired of supporting anyone on welfare who doesn't deserve it!

Why don't they protest in their own country.

If they dont have documents and came here illegally then they shouldnt have rights. Period. I don't understand how people can argue this subject, when the solution is sooo clear. If your here illegally then you should be deported back to where ever it is that you came from.

These rally's in years previous have done MUCH more damage to this cause than benefit. All it serves is to make people mad.
ICE was NOT cracking down before these marches and now they are thanks to all the attention illegals have brought to themselves.

When will the Tribune (and most other news organizations) start describing these activities correctly. It is a march for illegal aliens extra benifits, not for immigration rights. Legal immigrants have most of the rights that citizens do.

Ho-hum--the Dems don't care, the Repubs don't care. As Emma Lozano from some group calling itself Puebla Sin Fronteras said this morning, "This is the new majority of this country".
Good she told me that since I thought legal American's still had a slight edge there.

I always find it so hilarious that these illegal immigrants will gladly go out and make themselves known to authorities in this way. I'm an immigrant myself but I did it the legal way. I don't feel the need to march, I put in the work and I got the rewards. There are plenty of ways to come here legally that don't require vast sums of money or endless qualifications. You do have to be willing to make some effort though, instead of like always waiting for someone to come along and give you it all on a plate.

There's no problem with the legal immigrants who followed the law and process.

There is a problem with illegal immigrants knowingly breaking the law then thinking they have rights. Illegal immigrant = no rights.

What is wrong with this picture when illegal immigrant law breakers think they can protest for rights that law breakers aren't entitled to? Why aren't they protesting in their own countries against the policies that create poverty there? Or asking their own governments to provide eductaion, health care, and living expenses there?

The marchers have a lot of nerve.

What's the big deal about these "immigration rights marches"? Don't they realize that they are NOT LEGAL citizens! And only LEGAL citizens HAVE rights?!!

I am an immigrant but my family came here legally. I am fluent in English, have served my time in the military, and have paid taxes all my working life. I have no problem with people going through the process to come here legally and make the effort to become part of the culture but I have a very BIG PROBLEM with these CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS!!!

Why do they me to speak their language? Why do they make all these demands on a country that isn't theirs? Why do they feel entitled to spit in the faces of the citizens and flaunt our laws?

We need to do more than just arrest and deport them, we need to make sure that there is no incentive for them to try and come back!

This country was built on the sweat of immigrants. Maybe if we start letting them work legally, we'll get some of our manufacturing back from China.

I can't remember which politician said it, but this country needs a tall fence, but a wide gate.

But until we reform immigration laws, I'm afraid most of the people posting in this forum are right. These marchers are criminals.

Here's the big question? What do illegal immigrants want? How do they expect the American to support a cause involving illegal entry into this country?

I ask to be educated on this issue and I have yet to hear/see a response.
