Review: Paul Schat's Bakery

The Carson City Schat's Bakery hardly ever has their Bagels ready at opening! A Bagel is a breakfast item and should be ready at opening 6:00am. They are sooooooooooooooo good!

I used to think this was a five star place, but I'm going to have to drop some stars off the bakery due to some unsanitary practices observed. I purchased a loaf of bread and wanted to have it sliced. They offer this for free. The cashier who handles money was same person slicing the bread. She did not use any gloves or wash her hands before handling the bread. I was not the only one that had bread sliced in this manner. I didn't want to make a scene at the time, so I just won't eat the end pieces. But I think I may e-mail them with my concerns. So all you Carson people, don't get your bread sliced here or watch what they are doing! All the other stuff there is still yummy though!
