In 1995 I returned to the Children's Home at Twin Bridges, to attend an Orphan Reunion.-450 former "kids" showed up. I was not surprised most of the kids ended up in a solid marriage and self-sufficient careers. Their success attributed to their early training.
Me and my two brothers and three sisters were placed in the home,as wards of the State in 1936; were were a consequence of a broken marriage.
I often reflect on my mother telling us that my twin, Gloria, wrote to daddy who was living in California, that we wanted out of the Home. My dad wrote back to mother, questioning: "Are they warm? Are they safe? Are they eating? Mother answered yes, yes, and yes. Father said: "Leave 'em." -Well, like death that was the end of us; but then a new beginning.
Looking back, and looking now, I think it would be a good time to re-open the Home. You copy?

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
