He shouldn't even be a cop any longer. He probably drove a hundred times before getting caught but was putting other people in jail daily.

I find this outrageous and offensive. As a police officer he took an oath. He violated this oath when he was caught under the suspicion of DUI. After getting convicted by a Court, he should have been fired by his department. Virginia Beach Police Department is now letting the public know that there officer's are above the law inwhich they enforce. By allowing him to keep his credentials, this is the message that they, VBPD, is sending. Had this officer been from another juridiction, they would have been fired!

Actually, when a person appeals a general district court decision, it is in effect making the conviction non-exsistent. Virginia Beach would have a hard time firing him while the appeal was still going on. Had they done so, the city could have been opened up for a lawsuit. Now that the appeal has been withdrawn, and the conviction stands I am willing to bet he will be fired shortly.

I agree Mr. Clark, can you imagine how many people lost their jobs behind DUIs given out by this man?

This guy should never be on the streets again and should never carry a firearm. He obviously thinks he is above the law protected by fellow brothers in BLUE.

Actually I think he is probably going to get fired anyway. The issue shouldnt be whether or not he was found guilty in a court of law but whether or not he was actually driving drunk. They were just waiting for the court case to conclude before taking action.

Your kidding right? Above the law? His supervisor responded, he was arrested (the same place everyone else goes when arrested),and went before a judge(like everyone does when charged). He was found guilty. He took responsibility for his actions. Now what happens, happens. Glad your not a judge!

The guy was convicted of not only driving drunk but hit and run. Va Beach does not need untrustworthy officers like him on the payroll.

Achieving goals should be easy on this high energy day, and others will be inspired by your vigour and enthusiasm. Your friends will want to jump on your bandwagon, so if you have a cause to push, now is the time to speak up. Just be careful not to lose your focus; if you take on too much at one time, you won't be effective.
