Please wait...
I get it. It's raining outside. Once you've told me there is a tornado warning and the area affected, there is nothing else you can do. I am inside my house and expecting to see the national news. I do not need to know that lightning is scary. I do not need to know that some areas are flooded. My guess is that these are areas that always flood. I do not need to see what the traffic looks like--I'm not in it and the people that are in it know what it looks like. Here's a suggestion. The three local channels get together and come up with a plan whereby at least one of them(and it can be a rotating thing)shows the news during these storms, which only seem to come during the news. My guess as to why you don't do this now is that you know everyone will watch the news station, once they've affirmed for their own satisfaction that, yes, it is raining out there. My wife just told me you guys don't give a shit but I'm sending it along anyway.

That was one big storm. I was glad to see the news stay on it while it passed through. It got pretty scary a few times. I feel for those in flooded areas.

Yes ,it tends to get redundant.Overkill.However, if peole insist on driving through "knee high" water, they have to keep warning us about the consequences.

Wow people, there are some of us that care more about the local news than the nation news... and the last time I check msnbc wasn't showing local weather.... they were showing news. So quit your whining and watch another channel. You can always get on your computer and watch the national news on it.... geez!!! Always have to have something to complain about. Some people are just never happy!

As usual, there was absolutely too much coverage of a summer storm. You would think the world was coming to an end. Totally uncalled for to have WTKR coverage on two stations. Why was it necessary to have the same reports on both channel 3 and 7? If a major storm was to hit Hampton Roads, nobody would pay any attention due to the over hyping of any summer/winter rain/snowstorm/

I don't get it.... you guys don't have to watch the weather on TV... there are like 100 other channels you could watch! So apparently it wasn't very bad where you were, or you didn't have loved ones out in the weather trying to get home. It was nice to see the coverage to keep everyone abreast of the situations. It was absolutely horrible where I was... So the next time you have a funnel cloud form right over the top of your house, will you be complaining that it was on the news?
Those of you complaining probably haven't lived here for the last 20 years... and know that this is what happens.... Local news channels do it everywhere... oh but I guess they interrupted your stupid reality tv shows!
