Buckingham supervisor indicted on charge of illegally harvesting timber

Anyone know how this turned out? I know he was in court last week.

Of course he is getting away with it!! How can this man continue to slip thru the cracks? What an embarassment to our county!!!

Seems there has been alot of law breaking since our new Sheriff has been in office. The excuses seem to be...not enough $$..not enough personel...etc..excuse after excuse!! I hope the powers that be are happy with the choices they have made (or should I say "manipulated")!! Seems they have been victims themselves..think they will ever admit their mistake??????

hey i know the guy and he gets by with everything and he even doesn't pay his taxes and besides this isn't the only time he has stolen --and the sheriff won't do anything

Still nothing. Guess they are going to wait it out until the victims give up. So wrong!!

The man says he preacher, goes around preaching the word of GOD, but everyone in Buckinham County knows he's a liar and a thief. He serves on a County board, but everybody knows he's a liar and a thief. He owes the IRS and everybody knows it. He owes money to several businesses in Buckingham County but will not pay them, that makes him a liar and a thief. He was charged with a felony for his last timber theft, but the Commonwealth Attorneys' office was afraid they did'nt have a strong enough case so they sent a bright but scared assistant to plead Mr. Morrison down

It scares me to think that the County of Buckingham is that corrupt. When I was there for the trial we heard many stories about how they had to get a new sheriff because the last one would not play their kind of game. Wake up Buckingham the timber thief is free to go back to his old ways with the blessing of the folks that took an oath to protect you.

I have to say I am ashamed for our fine county of Buckingham!! Until our many GREAT citizens get out and make some noise, this corruption is going to continue! We have to ban together the way the "good ole boys" have to get these people in office, to GET THEM OUT!!!!! We had a Sheriff in office that didn't put up with the trash that was being "swept under the rug" by the previous admin. and had no problem "butting heads" with our corrupt government. We played by the rules while they lied and cheated and lost him for good! Until we stand up and say "NO MORE" it is going to continue. This latest is just an example. Mr. Chambers isn't going to change his "bussiness as usual" stealing trees, fuel, intimidating citizens for votes, etc. The commonwealth just gave him license to continue!! Stand up people!! We do not need to take it anymore!!!

Why don't YOU run for office?

We need to stick together and try to make this a better place to live!
Our Sheriff is by far the better of the two that we had to choose from, and we should be thankful that he is willing to serve this county, and its people. No, he's not God, but he is a very decent and honorable man, who stands up for what is right! I've known him for almost 30 years, and have nothing but respect for him.

It's easy to be an "armchair quarterback", so unless you're willing to get up and do something besides spew hateful remarks....

In my humble opinion, Buckingham County needs a new commonwealths attorney. The one we have has been there for ages. It's time for a change... Our Sheriff doesn't control the judicial system, he just does his best to enforce the law. When the cases come to court, well, you know how it works...

There is no doubt we need a new commonwealths attorney. We need to clean house on all of our public offices. Why isn't there a time limit on how long they can hold an office?

I'm so tired of people complaining. I feel you feel that you can do better than go right ahead. It's not just Buckingham that is corrupt it's every where you go instead of degrading and talking about people why don't you look at your own lives. I'm pretty sure everyone has made mistakes at one point of time in their lives and they have to be forgiven by god and not noone else. Noone can judge them except for god and you can best believe that god won't appreciate this hatred that is going on either from one person to another.

I am quite sure that GOD does not appreciate a man representing himself as a Reverend and Man of God, stealing, cheating and lieing.
This man needs to either be removed from his post(s) or step down and beg God for forgiveness!! And for the record...there is no doubt these are NOT "mistakes" he STOLE the timber because he knew he could get away with it!!!

Let the judical system find him guilty and you're not god
