Their is no mention of her asking God to recieve her Spirit that's probably becaus the Watchtower dosen't require this from their followers.

Why do they say she died peacefully? Is it because some peoples death are not so peacefull, they die in a morbid dreaded terror way beyond fear. Even peoples who are heavily drugged or unconcious have been recorded as having increased brain activity at the time of death which some explain away as lack of oxegen to the brain.

Why is that. Some have proposed fear of the unknown and others...

How do you have a good quality death?

Not everyone dies an agonizing death, if you are fortunate enough to die with someone with you, or even the aid of medication you are doing good.

Death is our enemy, the Bible teaches that death is from sin inherited from Adam and Eve. Sin made them imperfect, we are all imperfect and we all sin. Romans 5:12

Death is exploited by Satan the Devil, he is the reason men die in the first place, and he wants all men to die, he doesn't want anyone to worship Jehovah God. Jesus dying as the Lamb of God, has given man the means to be forgiven for their sins, and has redeemed mankind from death. Everyone who has died and is in the grave will be resurrected back to life on the paradise earth, they will be given the opportunity to live forever in paradise.
Revelation 20:13

When my Grandfather died, he went to sleep after dinner and simply never woke up. Pretty peaceful.

And you are correct.
When you die, the soul dies with you.
It is right in the bible

What helps, is not having hell-fire mythologies haunt you either. That's were the church adds to morbid fear in many many people, viral evil teachings.

That's one way to alleviate fear, get away from the church demonologies.

Fear of death indicates demonic hold on that person and this is somthing the religions have taken the lead in using.

"...through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil; and [that] he might emancipate all those who for fear of death were subject to slavery all through their lives." Hebrews 2

note: it needs to be said that Stephen directed his offer to Gods Son were as yeshua(jesus) offered to his Father.

Thats whats prefered. I like the words written about Moses who died old and satisfied.

The scriptures show wicked can be at peace during their life and it's assumed they can also die in peace.

For I became envious of the boasters,[When] I would see the very peace of wicked people." Psalms 73

It's odd to me why the watchtower would set this aside.

That seems to be the end result for the human race with the exception of the Sons of God who experience no unconciousness at death. In other words at death the transition from human to the form of God is instantanious.

It's odd to me why the watchtower would set this aside

JW's hate the eternal soul concept, yet wish it for themselves.

They want to think they will never die, and that their leaders change in the twinkling of an eye.

There wouldn't be any JWs with their soul sleep doctrine if they thought the new system was 10,000 years off.
