Susi, you speak of walking on ones shoe's. I believe we are all walking in our own. I believe we all know what amazing boundries and limits and personal moral's we have to break and shatter in order to murder in cold blood, and thats what it was as there was no sign of real struggle.
Now add what else you know. A crude weapon born of one who wanted the other to feel immense pain before death, using her own child to move the body. Escaping the scene.

You know what.. we dont even have to go that far.. She was living in a house that wasnt hers and living off somone who, despite insane claims with no proof beyond the words of a convicted murderer, was giving it all just to be generous. If she felt so horrid, so terrible in that house, she couldve left way before she ever hard to resort to any form of violence.

Now, in respect for a woman who died trying to make the world a better place, why dont we NOT use the testimony of abuse by a person who murderd somone else with a blunt object as any form of actual evidence.

I lived in Bridgeport,a few years ago.I am also from Ohio, and I am living in Ohio at present. As an outsider moving into Bridgeport I felt very excepted, and when I had problems with my ex,I felt protected against him.I feel for this Ohio woman's family and friends no matter what her circumstances and living arrangements. She did not deserve to be murdered.

I knew of this tragedy right after it happened, however was unaware of this forum. I found this website today by searching law enforcement info for the area. I have read all 82 comments.

first and foremost, I have to say how I despise the fact that a woman's life was taken in this manner and how utterly sorry I am to her family and friends. She obviously was not only a well-known and deeply loved person, but also a very good-hearted and generous lady. I am profoundly sorry for the loss.

second, it is extremely unfortunate that we must coexist with such rude and disrespectful people, such as the ones who have tried to use this forum for any other reason than to “respectfully” communicate about this horrific and appalling event.
As you have all done so well in ignoring and responding to them, I must apologize before hand, but I am compelled to say:
“To the disrespectful fools who tried spreading their plague of insolent nonsense “you know who you are” on this forum... well you meet the expectations held for such ruthless idiots and there is a special place in hell for you to disregard a brutal murder by electing to make ridiculous allegations or by saying anyone should consider the murderer's problems… as if that is an excuse for what happened. Hmmm, I wonder if that would still be your opinion if it were your loved one who endured something so incredibly horrific. You are an embarrassment to humans, but then again you are stupid enough to post the remarks, then you are stupid enough to not care that you are such fools“.

Third, whoever the idiots are that are making comments pertaining to grammar or education... get a life and stop harassing online boards you randomly google to criticize. If you yourself were educated, then you wouldn't be posting such stupid irrelevant comments.

I am also a part of online gaming and communities and understand how truly close someone can be with an internet friend. How sweet you all are for posting your heartfelt comments. She truly is missed, loved, and never forgotten.

I need some help does anyone have the number to Hahns office.
Apperently the great state of Illinois does not want to spend any money on the conviction of said murderer and are offering a plea of 20 to forty years for the premeditation murder of Norma. Seems her life is worth nothing but 20 years.
Be aware I will put this all over the press locally and Nationally. This is an atrocity and a tremendous injustice. Time for the good citizens to unite. Geo
Dear goerge, Please do put it all over the press. That county and this county doesnt care what happened, they want you to jus go away. 4 years ago my sister and her baby were murdered here in southern illinois, i know who did it and the police know who did it but have covered it all up even the crime scene i went to the press but got nothing but threats from all the cops on town i ddnt back away so please dont back away. If you want to murder someone do it here so you can get away with it.

Just got the news about Connie Vantlin
She was sentenced by Judge Hopkins to 50 Years with no chance of parole
She will be 87 when she gets out. We the family feel that it is long enough as she will probably not live to see freedom again. They are moving her today to Lincoln Illinois Correction Facility immediately. Thanks to all the numerous people in the procecutors staff that made this happen. Now maybe Norma can rest in peace.
Hello,
I happened on this site while searching for a friend from high school. Could someone please tell me that the deceased Norma Sines that this blog-talk is all about is NOT the Norma Sines who graduated from Northridge High School in Johnstown Ohio in 1969 or so? Please. And thank you.

Hello, I am Norma's niece and although I am unsure as to where she graduated school from I do remember that she did use to live in Johnstown Ohio. I visited her there in 1996. I will attempt to get your answer in the next day or 2.

In answer to Tamshine the answer is yes she did graduate from Northridge in or around 1969. She left Johnstown and moved around a lot, but called OHIO her home.
