It has been a village of Bensenville code violation for quite some time that residents cannot part recreational vehicles in their front driveways. I have called several times into the villages code enforcement hotline about the newly elected Frank Soto in absolute defiance of the rule that he should be enforcing. Apparently this code does not apply to Frank Soto and the code enforcement department refuses to enforce it’s own rules. Frank Soto has had his recreational vehicle parked on his drive way for weeks. As a resident of Bensenville, everyone that reads this posting should contact the Village hall and complain. Below is the code:

10-11-7: RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS:

C. Recreational Vehicles: A single recreational vehicle per dwelling unit may be parked or stored on a lot in a residential district provided that:
1. It is not occupied for living or sleeping purposes for more than seven (7) consecutive nights or for more than fifteen (15) days per calendar year;
2. It is stored in its collapsed position if it is a vehicle of the collapsible type not stored in a garage; and
3. It is parked or stored in a location determined by the following:
a. The vehicle shall be parked in a garage, carport or covered parking space, where one exists on the premises large enough to accommodate the vehicle.
b. Otherwise, the vehicle shall be parked in the driveway or comparably surfaced widening thereof except in an actual front or corner side yard.
c. Otherwise, where the dwelling unit does not have its own driveway (as in the case of some multi-family units), the vehicle shall be parked in an open off street parking space on the premises outside of an actual front or corner side yard or in an off street space off the premises approved by the director of community development.(Ord. 07-99, 2-23-1999)

Too bad you just pick on the one guy and you don't drive down a few more streets and see the violations. I'm smelling someone with a huge grudge. I'm not saying he is wrong to break the rules, but calm down.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Pisces

You're blessed with huge dollops of discretion and diplomacy today, which will come in very handy when you have to choose your words carefully with a certain person. At some point you could find yourself on the receiving end of someone's deepest, darkest secrets, in which case you'll have to treat these with respect and promise to keep them to yourself.
