3 Since it is the largest hospital in the area we would like to feel assured of receiveing top care in an emergancy. I really hope things will change for the benefit of the citizens. |

I know that for a fact that MRMC refused the residents and later on the staff was overheard talking bad about the nursing home and how it was not neccessary to send these patients out when in fact 2 of the residents were admitted to glenwood hospital. This is rediculous that a community hospital act this way towards a nursing home in the mist of a disaster. Lets hope that there is not any major disasters in the area because we would be screwed.

I have heard negative comments from the ER staff at Vidalia Hospital when my mother has been sent there from the nursing home. It really bothers me because oviously they don't realize that the doctor tells the nurses when to send a patient to the hospital. They make comments that they don't like it when the nursing home sends the patients that can't communicate. Well hello they need to be treated too. The staff doesn't realize that one day that could be them in that situation. Our elderly are our heritage and they better wakeup and smell the coffee. The hospital staff has always put the nursing homes down. They are suppose to be in the top 10a. Apparently people need to verberally let things like this known about the hospital so they won't be in the top ten. When you go to the ER you are there at least 3 to 4 hours before you get seen, and there will be noone else in the ER. What is with this.

I don't know how the hospital gets such good ratings because I hear people all over the community complaining about them. About the emergency at the nursing home. It is my understanding that the hospital did see the patients but said there was nothing wrong with them and wanted to send them back, they then were sent to Lower Oconee where they were admitted because they did have problems. If people don't start standing up against all the problems the hospital has our community is going to be in a bigger mess than it has been in for years with this hospital. They are building this new hospital I guess thinking this will make all the negative things go away well it won't go away until the administrator gets a grip on his employees, or maybe we need a new administrator that will be for the patients and community and not for the staff. the patients are what keeps the hospital in business and the only reason people go is because its convenient not because of the service. the hospital needs to get its act together.

Why even stop at the Vidalia Hospital???? There
