It makes the news now and then where the police do not take these threats seriously and the girl ends up dead. Girl needs to get a gun and the will to use it. That's a scary lookin' dude, crazy eyes and all.

Why is there a debate about what's new worthy? He was given a protective order for stalking and now he's continuing to stalk. A P.O. isn't a document you can print out on the computer, you have to go in front of a judge and they decide if it's worthy to issue-now it's a legal obligation of the police to find him. That's the problem with some people, they think it's okay to harrass people because they have their own agenda regardless of what the stalked have to say. It's sad really. They have mental issues, I think it stems from parenting. Let's see when you get stalked, what news will be important to you?

It is an important topic but there are numerous people that this happens to every day that the EPSO and EPPD deal with. I think the point is what made this particular VOP case news worthy. I think that maybe an investigative and informative article on victim's rights or maybe on how to get a protective order would be more helpful to the general population.
