I believe REUBEN HOUSTON is a sick human being that needs to be tied up and dragged behind a vehicle the same distance he dragged this poor horse. If, perchance, REUBEN HOUSTON'S eyes are still intact, poke them out and tie his sorry ass to a tree in the hopes he dies. This a a pathetic excuse for a human being who does NOT deserve to have animals nor children in his presence since his temper seems to control his moronic sick behavoir. Do NOT slap his wrists and give him a fine - make this a harsh sentance and have justice served for a change.

You sound like an even more disgusting person than REUBEN HOUSTON. At least his actions were against an animal. You want to (and seem to get some sick pleasure) for seeing humans suffer. Sadism?

What's wrong with subjecting this scum to the same punishment he subjected that horse to. What exactly do you mean by 'At least his actions were against an animal'?

If I have to explain then there really is little point in continuing any kind of discussion. You will be locked up before long and no longer be a danger to society.

Violent actions against a human are much much much much much much much worse than actions against an irrelevant animal.

Because it's against the law and immoral, just like what he did to the horse. Anyone who would do that to this scumbag belongs in jail just as much as he does. Having said that, there is the possibility that I might find 90 days in the pokey for disorderly conduct and fighting is a fair trade for the opportunity to bang this creep in the chops a couple of times. If you don't want the horse either give it to someone who does or put a bullet in it's head, dragging it behind a motor vehicle is not an acceptable option.

He tortured the horse. What don't you understand about that?
Violent actions against this sociopath are well deserved.

If not advocating for dragging a human behind a motorized vehicle makes me a "TROLL, LOSER," sign me up. I am against torturing human beings. I suppose being for human torture is a legitimate stance but not one I would suggest that people take.

I read what he did. It seems pretty simple. Nothing really difficult to understand.

See what I mean about dangerous people and group think? Like I stated earlier, I suppose being "pro" human torture is a legitimate stance, but it isn't something that is becoming of a civilized society and it is not something I recommend. What if people believed that it was OK to drab people behind a motor vehicle who advocate for dragging people behind a motor vehicle. It is a "logical" extension of your thought process. You would be screwed...or more accurately dragged.

And the violence serves what purpose... revenge ?

That is not how a society based on the rule of law works.

Really??? Is a civilized society one that would give a slap on the wrist or a fine
to someone who willingly tortured an animal? Is a civilized society one that clubs
a seal on the head and skins it alive? Is a civilized society one that breeds dogs
in cages in a barn....dogs whose feet never feel what it's like to walk on anything
but the grate of a cage?

The way I see animal "abuse" is that it is slightly more destructive to society than illegal parking but less destructive than speeding. Because there is no moral absolute as how an animal "should" be treated, I refer to mother nature herself as my measuring stick.

Imo, it needs to exceed this.^^
If I were on a jury at this guys trial, I would have to vote "not guilty" if the conviction would involve jail time. I couldn't in good conscience put someone in jail for this action. JMO.

Is it worse than when they are attacked by a polar bear? If not, no worry.

Humans have been breeding dogs for a long time. I do not use dog breeding as a measure of how civilized a society is. I prefer to look at how they treat humans as the first an most important piece. If you are opposed to this type of treatment, buy your dogs elsewhere.

No matter how strongly we feel that someone deserves something, that doesn't necessarily make it the correct or legal thing to do. Vigilantes are criminals in their own right even if we agree, on an emotional level, with their actions. The end does not justify the means.

DOESNT DESERVE JAIL TIME??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HE MADE A VERY BAD CHOICE, WHEN THERE WERE SO MANY OTHER THINGS HE COULD HAVE DONE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM... HE OBVIOUSLY ENJOYED WHAT HE DID & KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING. HE DESERVES JAIL TIME & A SHRINK APPOINTMENT, AND THEN HOPE HES DOESNT HAVE CHILDREN.

I believe that jail is something that is reserved for people who are a danger to society. Since this guy has not demonstrated any dangerous tendencies towards humans, there is no reason to cage him. We have too many laws and too many non dangerous people in prison right now and there is no need to add another.

I disagree.....
someone like that needs their chain rattled now, not later. Two weeks in jail with real criminals should open his eyes, he needs to realize that what he did was extreme, which it was. We dont know what his criminal record is. Probably wont be the last time hes arrested with his mentality.

If he has other arrests, he has other arrests. If he has intentionally harmed humans, appropriate action should be taken. I am much more concerned about a person's treatment of humans than their treatment of an animal. As of now, we have zero knowledge of his treatment of people.
