Let's reverse societies view on Homosexuality. Let's say that Homosexuality was ALWAYS the norm, and Heterosexuality was the one looked down upon. Disgusting. Sinful. Etc. Now put yourself in someone else's shoes. You live in a homosexual society, but have nothing but feelings for the OPPOSITE sex. You know that it's wrong according to society and the bible, but you know that you've always felt this way. Your first crush was on the opposite sex rather than the same, etc. So instead of accepting yourself, you try to change.

- Try to now imagine yourself as a homosexual
- Don't like the idea? Too bad. Now try to make yourself attracted to the same sex.
- Still don't like the idea? Shame. You need to pursue a relationship with someone of the same sex because it'll be good for your social appearance.
- Try to tell someone: they tell you you're going to hell and need prayer to change yourself. Even though you KNOW that it's NEVER going to change and it's completely natural to you.

How do you feel? You're miserable because you're lead to live a lifestyle that isn't YOU. You have to learn to love someone that you're not even romantically into because "The bible and society" tells you to.

Perhaps that puts it into perspective what you do to a homosexual with all of these kinds of hateful comments.

First of all, calling me a "dummy" is not going to defend your claim. Second of all, I can hardly take you seriously wen u spek to me lyke dis. What are you, 9?!

God CREATED US. HE DOES NOT HATE HIS CHILDREN, HE HATES SIN. As the scriptures say, "God desires all to be saved". Not that I believe the bible, but I too can find quotes to support any opinion. Like I showed above, the story of Lot and Sodom weirdly claims that it is ok to offer your daughters up for rape. Amidst of all the nonsense in the bible, there is ONE verse standing out: Matthew 22:39
"... Love your neighbor as yourself"

well, friend, you did not include where the bible says homosexuality is wrong. god does not exactly approve of homosexuality, but he still loves everybody, even homosexuals. homosexuals are humans (uhm... if they are human... there are some chickens that are homo and other animals). homosexuality is not natural in most cases, but by psychological (sorry if i spelled that wrong) damage or damage by different means, e.g. molest, other stuff like that. there are some people born homosexual, and that is ok. they were born that way.
now here is where it says in the bible against homosexuality.(and again, nowhere does the bible say that it is okay to be homosexual, but if you are born that way, then theres no changing it.)

I thought I made it very clear I was selectively quoting from the bible. Yes, I know that the bible condemns homosexuality, but it also contains the rather pacifistic sermon on the mount. I choose to prefer the sermon of the mount.

What criteria do you use to accept or discard parts of the bible?
- Are you really believing it is ok to kill your kid because the voices in your head tell you so?(Abraham being prepared to sacrifice his son)
- Are you really believing that Lot deserved to be saved after offering his daughters up for rape? And that his wife deserved to be die for looking back?
- Are you really believing it is ok to use your religion to cheat and kill an entire village (after the rape of Dina, the daughter of Jacob, seemingly more important than the daughters of Lot)?
-Are you really believing slavery is ok because the bible accepts it?

I could spend an hour listing these examples. Now do tell me how you determine which parts of the bible you believe. If one claims to believe any one of the above examples to be ok, and believes the sermon on the mount at the same time, that person desperately needs to learn how to think.

To me, the condemnation of homosexuality is just another meaningless opinion in the bible. The bible is not the book of truth. It even starts with a fable (creation).
