Im gonna start calling the police everytime i find out parents are letting kids drink at there house. Why do police let these parents get-away with this? I need help in staoping this. Any one want to join me in busting parents for letting kids have partys and drinking.

we're (us teens) going to do it (drink) one way or another, these parents are just thinking its better to have them at home and safe than to have them somewhere that they dont know about and where they could be out drinking AND DRIVING...

yes, but dont you get the fact that if a teen gets drunk and drives and kills someone , its gonna be the parents fault. and believe me they will go to jail. MY Question is , WHY do teens think they have to get drunk? is it cool or something.? How many girls from milan are pregant or have been pregant? I know alot of parents letting teens drink at there house, and its just a matter of time before they get busted.

its just something to do in this boring town. its not like we feel like we "have" to do it, its just fun and gives us something to do and usually its only a small group of friends that hang out n drink if the parent allows and they STAY there. most of us dont even have big parties anymore because theres too much risk that we arent willing to take. yeah i do know that it would be the parents fault but thats their decision to put their own lifes on the line everytime they let underage drinking go on in their home. i just dont think its your place to tell the parents, that actually are adults and can make decisions for themselves, what they should and shouldnt be doing with their children. if you think about it, theyre actually trying to be safe about the situation. the kids are going to drink PERIOD. its better to have them in your own home than somewhere else and having them lie to you about it.

Ok...there are like 2 people that are pregant. Well there were 3 but she had her baby. I mean my parents let me drink, but that's only when it's just us. Or even if we have family over. But the only thing that I drink are winecoolers, and it's just usually one or two. But even at a party i won't drink because I know that i'll have to drive home. And my dad said if i ever drink don't drive and just call him up and he'll come and get me.

Parents who let there children drink is ridiculous. It's like telling them it's ok to do whatever you want. IF the parents had the children in church then the kids would have something to do, like go to study group or take youth group trips, and other things. The drinking is only going to lead to something more drastic and all the drinking will do is make you fat. So use your head for something other than a hat rack and think before you act.

if they dont do it at home theyll for sure drink outside the first chance they get even if they dont really want to theyl be curious enough to drink one.
and the churches around here arent that umm cant think of the word right now but im gonna use interesting? and im a christian havent went to church in months tho.
If parents are gonna let kids drink do it but id suggest taking their car keys before they start. and make sure their staying the night and if anyone has to go home you drive stay sober till you dropped them all off then when you get home do what your gonna do drink or sleep.
thats what my parents did with me and my friends when we were young and far as i know they all drink responsibly still as adults i dont have kids but if i did i wouldnt encourage him/her to drink but if they were curious id let them try it with supervision but not when their to young like 14-down.
just my opinion not really trying to start an argument i probably wont even gt back on this website aytime soon.

I here alot of how it might be the parents fault and that the kids could hurt someone else. But lets get alittle more in Depth, What about The Kid that is doing the Drinking? Do you think about how it hurts yourself? Could you Live with yourself after hurting someone else because you were bored? Can you stop drinking when you want to or are you already addicted and to affraid for your rep, to ask for help. How about if even one of the Parents goes to jail because of you. Would you still be Bored? Of Course you would have 1 more place to go if your parent is in Prison. Or would be able to face them. I know what I am talking about, Peer Presure is hard even in a small town. Your Parents would be more Proud of you if speak out and tell people "I Don't want to drink". There would be more Trust all around, You feel better about yourself. Don't risk your Health, Don't risk your life and for God's sake please don't risk someone else's Life. Because that just kills you both. Stay Sober to help others get sober!

u know what, if the parents do not let them drink in the home, the kids are going to do it anyway. when the kids come over to drink, take their kids, set rules and guidelines and sit with them. i come from a family who would'nt allow kids to drink in their home, but they would let me drink in other parent's home. I mean, whats the difference. there is nothing that you can do about it. it will happen anywhere and everyday. don't let yourself get so distraught over it. if you aren't letting your kids do it then why do you care?

Unfortunately CPS took over in the '70's. Now too many parents aren't smart enough to figure out they can punish their children without drawing blood or bruises, therefore, they allow their kids to run wild. It's sad to see just how lowly society has become all in the name of drugs and alcohol. I wish we could change the behavior of most our children. I disagree with any parent allowing their child to use drugs or drink alcohol. As the teen becomes an adult they have the "right" to do as they wish. Allowing teens to drink at home merely suggest the parent agrees with this behavior. Most parents don't want to be bothered, showing little interest in their child's daily activities. Most teens are seeking for approval from someone, regarding their school activities, friends and so forth. Why don't the parents who allow the teen to drink at home try something different?? DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR CHILDREN WHICH SETS GOOD MORALS AND VALUES?

THANK YOU, finally a person with some morals. I am discusted by any parent that would serve alcohol to any minor, even their own. This is a case of lazy parenting. It takes to much effort to teach kids the right things to do, Parents wanting to be liked or to be the COOL parent. I live in a town, where alot of parents let their kids drink. It makes me sick...

To the people that let their kids drink. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW.... get over trying to be the cool parent and become a good parent.

It is my opinion that leads me to beleive that these issues resulting in drunk teens maybe under different circumstances than we know. I have a few haunches for what i believe is the cause.

1) Parents do not actually know that the child is drinking their alcohol.

2) Parents do not know how to say "no" to their child (Kids who plead and beg sometimes get what they want from tired parents who dont have the energy to fight them off)

3) then you get the parents who say that you can TRY IT. These parents give their children moderate ammounts of alcohol once in a great blue moon.

4) Lastly you get the parents who simply do not care. These parents have given up on their children or the children have given up on them. Resulting in teens walking around town stoned and hammered all the time.

The same thing goes with cigarettes guys, I see my freinds run around with Joints or Cigarettes hanging from their mouth. Its time to put an end to this. Sadly , I do not know how.

The main thing is that we are concerned about kids out drinking and driving, sure theres not always an incident and parents seem to think that allowing their children to drink in the comfort of their own home is safe, they seem to sometimes forget that they are just kids, kids who usually aren't the best decision makers when it comes to drinking under age i feel like theres a lot of things kids could be doing to occupy their free time, we sure dont want a kid leaving one of those houses, parents or not, people end up leaving going home, and often getting hurt, i hope that the parents wake up and realize how precious their kids lives are, and how responsible is a parent whom allows this to go on?

Some of my son's friends told us that the police officers in our area are offering other teens to call and turn in the party with the underage drinking. I think that is great. As a parent of a 19 year old I am extremely concerned about underage drinking. My son begs and pleads with me to let him drink but the answer is ALWAYS "NO!" It's time for parents to remember that these are are kids and we should ensure that they follow the rules. They are not our friends and I think a lot of parents forget this. Be a strong parent, and they will grow up to be a strong person.
