Im have been a resident of verona for 25 years now and I have to say, this is the first time I have ever been ashamed to live here. No one here has respect for anyone.

I see what these men do around our town all the time and never once have I thought anything bad. They bust they're butts when it comes to this town. Im sure some of you are reading this and saying your yourselves "they are lazy and and your wrong". Well let me put it you you this way!
When it snows, whos the reason you can drive to work? You dont go out there and shovel your whole street yourself! When a water main breaks in the dead of winter, who gets into freezing cold water for hours while your toasty warm in bed? THEY DO!
When you pass by the civic center and it looks all nice and well done, who do you think takes the time to make our town look nice? Certainly not you! During the winter they are out there trying to help and make sure all of us can get around safely. Did you ever once think that they are out on those dangerous streets and sometimes, they are in harms way? But does that stop them from doing the best they can? No it doesnt.

I think the person who had the audacity to say all of that stuff in the paper, should appoligise. That was completely wrong of you! Our Department of public works is the best you could ever ask for. They work long and hard. Just think about how hard it is for us to lift a heavy box or dig in the dirt during the summer. We can stop whenever we want to relax. They dont! What we think we have a hard time doing, they do it 3000 times harder.

Give them a damn break and actually sit and think! I guarantee you would never be able to do the hard work they do. And they do it for us and our town. As I said before, im ashamed to live with people like you, but im proud that my town has such devoted, hard-working, employees. I thank them for all they have done! Good job guys!

Hard working- yes--(so is my husband and everyone else I know) abusing their postion and taking advantage of the taxpayers of Verona YES!!

What is more despicable is the town managers response as though nothing was down out of the ordinary.

Unfortunately corruption seems to exist at a new level in
Verona!!! Forget about accountability

Ha!!! Thats funny!!! Corruption!!! Yeah im so sure everyone else works just as hard, when they sit on there butts at an office desk.

Nothing IS out of the ordinary! God forbid they do some things for themselves! The supervisor did NOTHING wrong! He makes this town beautiful!

Taxpayers arent waisting they're money what so ever! I saw these men when I was driving home one night and they were fixing a water main break and I have to say, I felt so bad! It was freezing!

You dont have a clue what your talking about. Your a Montclair resident. You only know what you read. I live in Verona and I know more than you'll ever. Leave this alone. This is the worst load of crap ive ever read! Concentrate on the important things we need to focus on! Innocent people get killed but no one bothers with that to much do they!? Nope, they focus on this...

First I find it interesting that you say you live in Verona, yet your post says you live in Wallingford, PA... Let me just tell you one thing about our township employees. They are (union) WELL paid for their jobs, they get unbelievable benefits and also profit from overtime. They were doing their jobs. What I find interesting is that neither you, nor our illustrious town manager had no issue with this employee, and other town employees, while on the taxpayers dime doing work at his house. I know of no company who would condone their employees taking liberties such as this employee did and still not only back them in their jobs, but give them an award. This truly shows just how no one in Verona is willing to stand up and be responsible for the township interests. Even the ones who are paid to do so.

Here, here!!!! I totally agree. It's time to clean house, break the unions and get back to basics. No cushy pensions, no benefits for part-time employees, and no $600 car allowance for our 'town manager'. We need to operate in the real world, and this is what's happening out there.

Jan, I dont know why is says Wallingford, PA.
I AM a resident of Verona. Have been my while life. Where I am writing from IS in Verona. So close your mouth there hun.

Second, really sweetheart, I am a taxpayer. Everyone is pissed at Martin and Molinaro. Well guess what, this is Bull****!

So what if Chuck used the tools! So what if he idled the truck for a while. This Fritz guy is just mad. He should go find a corner and cry. But the rest of the residents should pull the led out. Yeah, the equipment was used for his own benefit from time to time, but its not like WE havent dont that before. We dont have big jobs like DPW, but we have all done this before. Using the computers we work on to go onto a website to check things out(our emails), taking paper, using the phone for personal use weither it be for just a second, Even something so small as using the stapler! Who gives a crap! The taxpayers money is used to keep this town in shape WHICH IS SURE AS HELL IS! Or was until YOU people came along with no lives and decided to focus on stupid drama. Leave these guys alone.

Think what you want about my opinion, but I know this stuff WAY better than you ever will Jan. I hope all these yuppie j/o's get out of this town. If ya hate it so much and its "such a waiste of your precious money" THEN LEAVE!

Or better yet, just SHUT UP!!!!!

I'm a neighbor of this guy and I have the kind of job that I've been home during the day time and I have never witnessed abuse by this employee. His house is clear site of mine and I've lived here for over 20 years. I have to say it's not like he never did anything wrong. I can only say that the tape shows two things wrong. The guy changing his light and plowing his driveway during a very small snow storm. All the other stuff is questionable as to what time they were done. Could be after work, lunch time and the stuff he unloaded from his cab is something he might have purchased for a local merchant when he was on the road in town. Salt truck was not a Verona truck as far as I can tell. Not a green truck. So the driver of a contracted salt truck decides to back up in his driveway and dump salt has nothing to do with Molinaro. He's not there directing him nor is he even there. I understand it took years for this guy to record these things. If Molinaro abused his position then it wouldn't have taken so long.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Aries

The behaviour of somebody around you (most probably your partner or family member) may be rather irrational today. Alternatively, a surprise involving one of these people is possible. Try to keep your domestic plans reasonably flexible to cover all possible outcomes. The focus is on improving your relationship with your partner or with friends today. Any outings should go very smoothly.
