I am saddened by this tragedy!!! I'm not surprised though. I myself live in Bloomfield right off of bay avenue and the way these nj transit bus drivers drive is so careless!!!!!!!!!! They are always trying to run people off the road like they are the only drivers. The way they drive is ridiculous!!!!! This news angers me especially as I drive home on my break to see a lifeless body with a body bag over him , only to see a nj transit bus slightly further ahead. It wasn't hard to put the puzzle together on what just happened. I hope they make these bus drivers more aware of how they should be driving a vehicle!!!!

i was on Broad st. & Bay ave. going to my Doctor when I looked to my right & saw the man in a body bag out in the open & 2 women taking pictures of it. Now that I know exactly what happened, it's a disgrace. Yes, the Man shouldn't have been chasing the bus so it is partly his fault, but I also see how these bus drivers drive & they are so careless & think the own the road. I hope the bus driver gets suspended. You hear more & more people dying over public transportation mishaps & it honestly is ridiculous! Are people that foolish, careless these days? God rest his soul & my condolences to this Man, his family & friends.

This is so sad to here just last week a man was hit by a nj transit bus trying to cross the street in Belleville of Franklin st. He suffered severe head trama and passed away over the weekend. They said he was hit so hard that there was an indent of where his head hit on the bus. Something really needs to be done about these wreck less bus drivers. Not only are they a danger to pedestrians but to other drivers and their passengers as well.

I live on Broughton Ave for 4 years now and have called the Bloomfield Traffic Director a few times complaining about how the buses speed doing 50 mph. He said they will put some cops on Broughton for speeding tickets. He said they stop them sometimes, but I have never witnessed it!! And to top it off he said he thinks that street should be a 35 mph zone. Well it's not...and it should be watched. There are about 8 schools just in our area!
Keep our community safe and start busting the speeders!
RIP to the man whom died at the negligence of this and these NJ Transit drivers.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Pisces

There's a clash today between the past and the present. Someone wants to dwell nostalgically on the good old days but someone else is determined to forget all that and only concentrate on the here and now. The trouble is that neither side will want to concede to the other person's point of view, leading to bad feelings and upsets. If you are one of these people, try not to be too entrenched in your own opinions.
