I'm tired of angst. And eating potato soup. Back to the fancy designer pizza place for me. I want brick fired and kobe beef.

Its all relative. If you have a job, nothing seems out of order. If you've lost your job and haven't saved up for a rainy day, it's a DEPRESSION. Therefore, a "recession" is defined as the state of the economy when a growing number of people are experiencing a DEPRESSION. You must be one of the fortunate people. |

I'd love to jump into the pool here, but I have no idea what "angst" means ......
|

Settle down everyone, the angst is not going away, we will have plenty to complain and worry about. Which is what most conservatives really prefer.

1 Obama out there humpin' HC reform, democrats screwing around with HC reform, and NOT A SINGLE POLL IN AMERICA SAYS HC REFORM IS THE TOP PRIORITY. Cap N Tax, bogus stimulus plans, and now the blatherer in chief is trying to tell you HC reform is the key to economic recovery... Oh REALLY? Then how did we go through any recoveries WITHOUT IT BEFORE YOU IDIOT.... How didja like the WH trying to cook the books a couple weeks ago claiming continuing jobless claims fell? KNOW WHY? UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS WERE RUNNING OUT FOR PEOPLE.. THAT'S WHY THOSE NUMBERS FELL. THEY'VE BEEN UNEMPLOYED SO LONG, THE BENEFITS RAN OUT...that's why they HAD to vote to EXTEND the benefits.... And look at that....CONTINUING claims are up, and NEW JOBLESS CLAIMS ARE UP.... And the democrats are doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FOSTER JOBS GROWTH IN THIS NATION.... Keep screwing around with stuff that isn't the top priority democrats...you guys are going to be so screwed in 2010... As the article pointed out, the other LIBERAL columnists keep saying 2010 won't be like 1994, but they REFUSE to look at the economy's role in those elections.... "It's the economy, stupid." People vote their wallets. And if the democrats don't STOP screwing around with stupid stuff while the rest of us are just trying to feed our kids and keep the lights on... Like the article said, 2010 won't look like 1994, IT WILL BE WORSE. |

As the Democrats sit mindlessly by. They just don't care. They think big brother will take care of them. Well Obama obviously isn't taking care of people. Jobless rate is at a record high. |
||||
Is your post an example of how people should work together or just another pot shot that reflects your ideology? P.S. Are Limbaugh, Beck, and Senator Boehner building a TOLL road some where? |

1 Democrats sit mindlessly by? No, we're the ones with jobs. You guys are the complainers, and if Obama is doing nothing for you, I'd expect you to be satisfied, after all, you guys want government out of your lives, and not doing anything that might improve your life. |

1 they work to defeat our elected President and current US policy. They cheer at Obama's "failure" to get the Olympics... that is all wrong. If the radical whacko right would go away, we could get on with progress and the angst would go away |

I was waiting for 'Official' to respond. Thank you anyhow! I can only speak for the State of NJ,'saving for a rainy day'. It is difficult for a single parent to save: rent is astronomical, child support is barely paid, food/medical, etc is rising. I have spoke to many who are working 2 jobs to make ends meet. Oh my! Don't be a homeowner in this state...the 'Chopping Block' list is out again for those on the verge of foreclosure! |

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of U.S. voters believe that the current level of political anger in the country is higher than it was when George W. Bush was president.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 22% think the level of political anger is lower now, while 16% rate it as about the same. Despite frequent Republican complaints about the vitriol leveled at President Bush, 69% of GOP voters say the level of anger is higher now, a view shared by 53% of Democrats and 56% of voters not affiliated with either party. But just 12% of voters nationwide say that the opposition to President Obama’s health care plan and other initiatives is racist, as some prominent Democrats, including former President Jimmy Carter, have charged. (Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook. Sixty-six percent (66%) of all voters say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government, including 36% who are Very Angry. Among those voters who are Very Angry, 74% say the level of anger is higher now, while 13% say it’s lower and 12% say it’s about the same. Even the majority of those who are now very or not at all angry about the government’s actions right now say the level of political anger is higher under Obama. Forty-three percent (43%) of voters are at least somewhat concerned that the political anger will turn violent, with 22% who are Very Concerned. But 54% are not that worried about potential political violence. Anger at Bush’s policies, particularly the war in Iraq, played a major role in Obama’s election last November over Republican candidate John McCain. In the final full month of his presidency, just 13% of Americans said they Strongly Approved of the way that Bush performed his job, giving him an overall job approval rating of –30 in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll. By comparison, although Obama has been tracking in negative territory for weeks, 31% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way he is performing as president. His job approval rating stands at –8 in the daily Presidential Tracking Poll. Just before Bush left office in January, 57% of Americans said he was one of the five worst presidents in U.S. history. Most voters (56%) continue to blame the nation’s current economic problems on the recession that started under Bush, but 37% blame the policies implemented by Obama. Adding to the level of anger is the new finding that 75% of adults now say Americans are becoming ruder and less civilized. |
