Pahorin said "And even this vitriolic anti-Mormon site -- one you inevitably go to because anything approaching neutrality fails to fan the flames of hatred enough for your liking -- does not contradict anything I said."

I don't hate you Pahorin, I simply perceive your religion as wrong and a threat to freedom as proven by the track record of the church. I would not even bother to post here if I wasn't trying to help save people from the serious errors in understanding and behavior that your church promotes.

You are perceiving me through the eyes of preconceived judgment given you by the church.

If you look for evil motives you may see what you desire to see but you won't see reality.

You have to heavily pad the "track record" to even *begin* to justify that bit of insanity, and even then
Grandpasmurf952 wrote:

That you *think* it promotes; and in order to "save" people you have to rely upon "serious errors" of fact.
Grandpasmurf952 wrote:

Even when you're trying to be conciliatory, you can't help spin the propaganda, can you?

The reality is that I reach the conclusions available to me on the evidence. Your perception of the Church is skewed far beyond the possibility of any good-faith misunderstanding on your part. You habitually rely upon discredited claims, and then argue from them as though they were established facts.
Grandpasmurf952 wrote:

See, this is an example of your bumper-sticker platitudes excusing your hatred. The fact is that it is *you* who looks for evil motives on the part of the Church of Jesus Christ; and although you are determined to see what you desire to see, you have yet to see reality.

You brazenly accused me of lying about Carleton. I have demonstrated that everything I said about Carleton was true, and *in his own words*.

Will you retract your accusation?

Or will you simply agree with him that Mormons ought to be exterminated?

Pahoran

Faith in Christ is a very powerful thing. It can change our lives forever in a positive way and help make us better people. Kinder towards one another, respectful of each other, and hopefully more loving. This is the message of Jesus Christ. What you choose to do with it is up to you. Negative thoughts equal negative actions and words.

Too bad you don't have the correct story...as usual its the Anti-Mormon version. The original manuscript was destroyed in a fire in Chicago years ago. The manuscript Joseph translated from was reported to be much longer than the one given back to the Church later. So until you can prove that is not the true story you can't say with certainty your version is correct. Believe me...I have been to a conference where all the facts were laid out and how the critics don't want to accept what the truth is...they like to make things up.
you mormons are just like muslims, allowed to lie for your religion to protect it, look up some it your "profets" work;

One of the most beautiful truths that has been revealed to man through the restoration of the gospel in this dispensation, and one that sheds light on so many matters, is the knowledge that all
men lived with God and his Son, Jesus Christ, in the spirit world
before they came here upon the earth.

Many of you do not know that, that is why you are the ones that lack TRUTH !

While that is the belief system propounded by the Latter Day Saints it is not considered a profound truth by any but the mormons.

The Cosmos is considerably different than the universe of Joseph Smith's imagination.

One can become aware of the true nature of the Cosmos and one's place in it but not in books or words claimed as from god by men calling themselves prophets!

Wouldn't that be tragic?

The irony of it is that he will burn if he doesn't come unto Christ.

I agree. It is hilarious to look at all the junk that man came up with. Then even more funny to see how hard the LDS church has worked throughout the years to hide all of his stupidity, along with Brigham Young's and others, then devastating to see how many people are falling into the trap of all this mess!

After coming on here, I finally went to a Mormon church yesterday to see what it was all about... just to give the Mormons on here a chance... maybe they aren't so bad. Good GRIEF! It was RIDICULOUS. I have never been to a more Godless service in my life.

The only thing that professed Jesus at ALL was one of the hymns. No one mentioned Jesus, and one of the stake high council was there speaking! He mentioned Joseph Smith and talked about various prophets ("profits"), but did not ONCE mention Jesus Christ.

There were three speakers and the other two didn't either.

I saw a couple paintings of Christ in the hallway and we sang one hymn about Him, but I did not hear a word spoken about Him.

I know, I know... Mormons will say, "we speak of Jesus all the time" etc. etc. etc.

I'm just saying what I witnessed yesterday morning and it had absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus.

You want to hear about Jesus?

I found a similar thing. Not much mention of Jesus at all. The speaker talked on the topic of why we serve. He went over a few options, but failed to point out the reasons we should serve are; out of gratitude of Christ's atoning sacrifice, and because Christ came and served us. Anyone can give good advice, but only Christians can proclaim Christ.

My experience is that 'so called Christians' don't act much like Christians. If this is the way they chose to proclaim Christ then they are serverely fooling themselves that they are true Christians. They judge others. They bear false witness and act like they are better than others. They look down their nose and feel it is their calling to berate others, mock and ridicule. If that is what you have to do to be a Christian in your book then I say to shove it....I have lost a whole lot of respect for you Rhyno....you know better. CIB I expect it from he is just a dumb putz but I held you in a higher class....no more!!!!! Shove it.

I consider you a true Christian and I agree with your post....thank you for being a bright spot while the others choose to swim in the cesspool of their own making.

I love to wade in my own shit.

Do you ever drink a gallon of beer, make a bath, sit in it and piss in the tub? It is quite refreshing. It makes my skin so soft.

I also enjoy eating sesame seeds and a couple of cans of corn and wait for my corn cobb to exit the poop chute. Make a tasty treat.

You are wrong, my friend. If you did attend an LDS service, you either weren't listening or fell asleep. Christ is taught every single meeting. Sunday School, Youth meetings, Priesthood, and Relief Society (men's and women's instructional meetings)

Especially Sacrament meeting. If you attended, you didn't get it. The entire meeting, called Sacrament, is centered around a holy and important covenant, involving the preparation for and the participation in the most important spiritual activity of the week---that is the renewal of the baptismal covenant, repenting for the sins, misdeeds, and weaknesses of the week. Partaking in the bread and water as commanded by the Master. Solemn introspection and communication with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Admitting wrongs, and making real efforts to do better.

If you didn't hear Christ's name mentioned you weren't listening.

Today is potentially very romantic, as the Moon and Venus enliven your sex life. If you open up your heart, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The Bull is slow to fall in love, but tends to be very loyal and committed, which makes it important for you to choose your partners wisely. You feel more intense, especially from the standpoint of the psychological motivations and behavior patterns involved.
