Review: Double R Towing

These guys towed my car from a private business during the Ventura County Fair, had my car for only a few hours, and it cost me over $300.00 to get it back. Their receptionist was totally rude, and ridiculed me for parking where I did, like I needed that in addition to a outrageous tow bill. I will tell everyone I know, to NEVER use Double R Towing EVER!

got my car towed for parking in the wrong spot. My fault admittedly.But the fee to get my car back was $305.00 it was only towed 2-3 miles, or less and only held for like 2 hours. What an absolute rip off!!!!! the girl that answered the phone when i called to find out where i could get my car watch totally rude. i was standing next to a police officer, who gave me the phone number and even he said i was being polite with her. She went off on me with horrible attitude. Martins Double R sucks!!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. Must have been the same receptionist. She even cussed at me.Also NO signs post about NO FAIR PARKING. Their fees are outragious.

I had the exact same experience with these people! I filed a complaint with the Ventura PD, and they assured me this guy is currently being investigated. He has apparently been victimizing the citizens of Ventura for several years. I did some research with aquaintances of mine at the DA's office, and they confirmed that also. Hope they hang this guy by the balls! How can anyone sustain a local business, and expect any return customers when you treat people like that? I guess he has nothing between the ears!

I too, parked off site at the Ventura Co. Fair to have easier access for my child and his project on display there. Since the Fair does not provide adequate parking, I parked at the now defunct coffee company at the corner of Figueroa and Thomspon. I returned to find my vehicle gone, and found that Double R had towed it away. Same thing, I was treated rudely, and charged excessively. I wonder if the Ventura County Fair prospers from all these tow-aways. What a rip-off. The Fair should supply more parking, and ban criminals like this from scamming fairgoers.

I have lived down the street from Double R towing for 8 years. Its funny to watch all the people line up after the fair closes to get thier cars out.
I shop at the avenue Vons on a daily bases but when the Fair is in town I am real carfull about parking in the Vons lot for fear of getting my car towed. The merchants are real quick to have cars towed, maybe there some kind of kick backs going on?
If your are going to the Fair park at the mall and ride the bus. Don't give these people anymore money.

I have been in the automotive industry. I have used Double R Towing before. There is way to much illegal activity going on... Thats when I decided to stop using the man. Martin steals from the rich and robs the poor. Why do you think the mans always in court.... Its time Ventura had a change in the Towing industry

These people Suck so bad. They are just a bunch of CROOKS. I am making it my life mission to make sure everyone I come across know that Double R Towing ripped me off and will rip you off too. AVOID them at all COST!!

I agree with vta county. the abc from 9/11 must stand for A Buncha Crooks!
