I think the govt. needs to come up with a better plan than off-shore drilling. Spills like this can and do happen and look this will have effects for years to come :-(

President Bush was bored and hadn't used his Navy SEAL and ninja skillz since he took out that levee in Nawlins

(actually, it was an accident that BP is responsible for)

I agree! What the heck is he thinking? Oh my goodness.

I think Obama had something to do with it!I would have loved to meet him when he was here, to let him know the effect no drilling will have on my business and so many lives here in Louisiana! I always said he was sand n---er! Something about him, not right!
I hope someone lets him know how a cajun reacts when you take their life and lively hood away from them,it will not be good for him. Lol

Honestly, i think the important question is not who is responsible for the actual oil spill, but who is responsible for the clean up. People now a days need to realize that accidents do happen. I am tired of all of the "no drill no drill" people using this as a way to farther their cause. People are coming down hard on BP, when just from what i can see (not that i am anyone other then a small town girl) but, they have been on this fro the beginning, saying they will pay....repeatedly saying they will pay, and lets face it, we all know they have the money. I don't blame Obama, but I do not appreciate his administration saying "this will not be his katrina". You can't compare a naturla disaster with a man made one, it isn't right, nor justified at a time like this. Praying for this country, while our relief is spread out across haiti, afghanistan, etc etc....we have had, in the last month or so, 19 men die in a mine explosion, another mine explosion (happened not long after the other, think i heard 3 men in that one) not 100% sure on the death toll during that one, an oil rig explosion that took the lives of 11 men, not to mention the wildlife and flat out way oflives for people along the gulf, and, the storms that passed through arkansas, tn, etc....so far the news is showing a death toll of 28 :( Times are not good, no matter who is to blame :(

The fact that you can draw a parallel with a Socialist system because a private company has rules about calling our democratically elected President a derogatory name shows how out of touch you really are. This is the definition of free enterprise.

He did it because he had to, remember right at the same time health care reform bill came into play. You scratch my back, & I will scratch yours! I thought you were at least a little smart. They are even more crooked in Washington than here at home!
Watch now that he has got his way with the health care. Bottom line is: Obama wants drilling to be stopped.

I blame the lack of safety features this well was allowed to bypass. We need to drill but it must be done properly and safely. My thoughts to all who live near this area and prayers for all the wildlife affected. Such a cruel loss of life and totally unnecessary. Losing the men on the rig is such unspeakable tragedy.

How does opening up competition for Louisiana oil help Landrieu? He opened up water from Florida to Cuba.
