Paula Sims Petitions Illinois Governor For Clemency

This is just UNBELIEVABLE.I am just appauled to think someone out there thinks she should be free.Is 17 years long enough for her to be in prison?I dont think so,Heather would be in high school by now and Loralei would be starting college or maybe having babies of her own. They didnt even have a chance thier only crime was being female. Claim of mental illness was thrown out the window when she didnt kill the son. Postpardom psychosis my butt!!!! Just think, if she is released she is still young enough to have more baby's.Whos hands will there blood be on Paulas or the idiots that let her out??

She didn't like females 17 years ago, but by the looks of that mullet, she likes them now.

I can't understand the WHY part either. Do your hormones get that far out of wack and stay that way for years so that you keep repeating the same crime??? I think she needs to stay in custody (for life) somewhere for what she has done . Saw on the news another woman has been charged with killing 4 of her kids from 1965-1970.

After reading on this case I often wonder if the state would of gone after her husband? Why was he never charged? I am sure he knew what was going on. with the Andrea Yates case this is one that should be looked atr real close. I am willing to bet she has never had any contact with her son either this whole time she has been incarcerated. how much did her husband know about this crime and how much did her try to cover up for her?

they only got it half right when they convicted paula simms... getting the other half right would have meant convicting robert simms also... there is no way he is completely innocent... the creep is a total odd ball... for example he makes it a point to date ladies named paula...

Not that i think that this woman should be set free, but any woman that could kill her own child, not one but two, has got to be SICK....because nothing else would make sense. Can a mother be that evil??

I divorced a guy who blamed me for having our daughter. He wanted a son. He is abusive and i left to protect her and myself. This lady has no excuse. I too was suffering from postpartum. But I didn't smother my daughter.

It's just amazing how Paula Sim's post partum can discriminate (between daughters and son).

Yes it would be right to have him in jail. I believe it was pressure from him that caused Paula to snap. Having meet the man while Paula was pregnant with her first baby I thought something was wrong with him. Something was different with Paula after her and Robert were married that is for sure. But, getting out of prison she killed two babies because Robert didn't want girls. Not because she was depressed.

I met Bob Simms in 1995. He seemed to be a nice person, at first. After I got to know him he was a difficult person and a difficult father with Randy. Hopefully Randy turned out ok, as he is 19 now. Randy has never known his mother and he was not allowed to join Cub Scouts and other things because of what happened. Randy was punished by the mothers of schoolmates for what his mother did. He has anger, that is for sure.

I am from Australia and I have just read the book about Paula Sims. Oh my god!! I cannot believe anyone could do what she did!! My Question. Has she ever confessed to these awful crimes?? Her husband was a very weird man. Her son, how he must've suffered when he learnt of the truth......

I met Randy once it was at my brother in laws funeral. Randy and Paula were there. The creepy thing was that she was pregnant with their first baby. He didn't talk to anybody, but then again these were Paula's friends.

Yes she has confessed but has not ever implicated Randy in any part of the crimes.

I knew them and I babysat the kids at one time or another she was not a nice person. She was ok with the kids, but I do not think she should get out because of post partem. What she did was wrong. And she should stay there.....

Paula is a crazy as a loon, my wife knew her from prison and paula is way off and should stay where she is for-ever

i don't condone her actions, but come on what about the father? i beleive he had something to do about it too. he didn't want girls he wanted a boy. i think he talked her into it.

I have worked with a mother who cut the arms of her child and she suffered from psychosis. Paula Sims was not mentally ill or she would have killed her son as well!!!! I think she was selfish and Robert is just as guilty. She should rot in her jail cell!!!

well after all, the trial was in illinois. if you want to see a fair trial around here the best thing to do is watch an old perry mason re-run
