What a shame that this woman was shot, reguardless what COLOR her skin was... I used to work in E.ST.Louis, I AM A WHITE WOMAN, but with BLACK God parents, I never in my life been prejudice nor do I raise my children to be... Thank you for your comment. Maybe you can educate some of the other whites who post here. I agree, the tragedy is that the woman was shot, in ESL or anywhere. Let's not assume that all ESL people are doing drugs, sex and crime. That's where the racist stereotypes come in. We know that comparatively speaking, ESL has more crime, it has more social ills and poverty also (things that breed crime). As an educated black person from ESL I resent the association of crime with race. Throughout my life I am aware of more white people who have committed crimes and using drugs than black people yet I won't lower myself to make a stereotypical criticism about whites based upon where they live or their race. Educate yourselves before you make these comments.
