Water is already like liquid gold in Grifton, has anyone ever looked at a water bill from there???, resembles a LIGHT bill, I think residents try real hard not to use much already, as in "water" or paying for groceries.

I'm appauled at the water system they put in. Not just due to the water bill, but to the plain stupidity of whoever ok'd this to happen. There is a house on the end that now has to have a lot of traffic going in/out there, because they closed off all but two openings to Wilson St. I think that family should be given, GIVEN a fence to their yard, as it's evident they have children who could fall into the water resivore very easily! No one would know until it was too late!
An animal (since you've ran them out of the woods) could also be caught down in it.

As well as the train tracks. Only having two places for cars to get to Railroad St., how is an EMT truck supposed to find us in an emergency?
Taking away the tracks overpass, and making a big long hole filled with merky water is just asking for a quick death among the people in my town!
I just cannot believe the ignorance behind such a thing. I don't care who you are that decided on this, you're WRONG. And get those on the end a fence so they can protect their children!

The lady is right, who in grifton would use excess
water? If i use no water my bill is 42.00. This past month i used a very miniual amount, my bill,62.00. This system we're on should have been presented to the residents for a vote. We use to live in a democratic world. We need new pople in office that will govern with the good of the town in mind. And, we need to start with the mayor. Although i don;t know him personally, i know people who do. He must not remember he's elected.
As a town, althou small,it's our town. It's your town, get emvolved, get to know your repesentive.
Find out how he or she votes on things that matter to you. Everything should matter.
We have an eletction coming up soon, find out who's running, what there about, how they voted in the past on things that as a resident we should be cocerned about. Have they voted with you & i in mind, or are they voteing to help thimselfs in some way. All valid questions, ask.
Asfor the present water system, it bagan to high, its getting higher. Only you & i can stop this. GET ENVOLVED!!!!

We live outside of Grifton (household of 2) no garden and our water (that smells bad) also runs us around 40.00 a month. The water co. we use are discontinuing the use of chlorine to purify the water although it has been around 99 yrs or so. A few months ago a pamplet was received through the mail saying "Your water is Changing". It went on to say it was not suggested for aquariums or kidney patients etc. After reading that we looked up the replacement chemicals (chloramines-actually 3 combinations thereof) They can not be boiled out, can cause internal damage to cells in the human body, people with asthma are cautioned when showering and they did not tell all of the precautions. We use a Brita filter now for all drinking water or we purchase bottled water for lack of a better word the term 'toxic' comes to mind.
