I am a Native American Indian. My great, great grandparents were forcibly removed from their homes, denied, by law, to speak their language and placed in "white" schools to extinquish their culture. Many "blacks" were married to American Indians. Their children were accepted into the "tribe", and given the same status as their parents. I don't consider myself a "racist"; but, I believe Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize because his father was black.

My grandnmother, who graduated from the Cherokee Female Seminary and taught in Indian Territory is more deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize than Obama!!

The blacks were also forcibly removed from their home land, However I see no one setting up reservations for them. And as far as progressing any further, who ever asked them if they wanted to. I think they they were quite happy with their way of life before white men decided to "civilize them".
