Fatal Shooting Shadow Run/ Riverview?

Has anyone heard anything about a fatal shooting in Shadow Run subdivision in Riverview, FL? A man entering a woman's residence with a baseball bat, trying to beat her?, she shot him dead?

i live in shadow run, i have notheard of anything, i know there has been a lot of break ins ect, what do you know

Bangor Daily News is reporting a man, Arthur Tilley, was shot and killed in a woman's home in Riverview, FL "last week".
We are researching same. Any info would be appreciated.

Art was visiting a woman named "Tamra" who has 2 children... they hooked up via the 'net. I/we really want to know what happened... he was NOT a violent man at all!! I'll keep watching to see what news and info you can provide.

I, too, am searching for info on Arthur Tilley. I worked with Arthur for many years and found him to be a gentle person. I am having trouble believing this has happened. Any info would be appreciated.

This did happen in Shadow Run, March 5. It sounds like a domestic,self defense? It is being investigated, must have been 15 police cars and 2 crime scene vans there for hours...apparently they had been living together for about 2 months....

Absolultly NOT TRUE... they have NOT been living together for 2 months. I know that for a an absolute FACT and can provide proof of that. He only arrived in Tampa on Feb. 17. I've know Art since the early 1980's... he was a kind and generous man.... and for all his family and friends here in Maine...we need to know the truth..... not speculation and rumors.....

I'm sorry you're upset. I would be too. This is the type of tragedy that should never happen.

You wanted some information and I'm telling you what I saw and what she said. She said she was threatened with a baseball bat. I do believe he was generous, from what I've been told he bought her many things. In fact there was a washer and dryer delivered the day after he died that he paid for. This is not a rumor or speculation.

Keep in contact with the Hillsborough County Sheriff Department and let them know how concerned you and others are, and that you would like some answers as to why he was killed.

I did have a conversation with Art ... she was in the background..she got IRATE with him about a "sewing kit". It was very awkward listening to her rant... the he comes back to the phone... says it was a misunderstanding and then passes the phone to her so she could explain why she was so angry... I thought the whole situation was bizarre... and then ... he's dead... but not before he bought many more things for her ....

Your right....this doesn't sound like Art. Can you picture him ever thinking about threatening someone? Maybe she drove him to it........

Drove him to going after her with a bat... I just don't buy it... If her kids were home (and he clearly loved the thought of being around them)as he told me he spent the night up with one of them who was sick .. so she could sleep... this would never have happened.... not with his love of kids, and his work all these years helping out kids.... she did it!!! for whatever irrational reason that we may never know.... lets must hope she doesn't get away with it.

Did she run a business from her home? When I searched for 12,920 Shadow Run it came up 12,920

She did have some type of embroidery business but I don't know if she is still doing that, but she's doing some kind of business.

Have you heard anything new?

I think that there is something left to be desired from this case. Self defense? Hmm.....I don't think that is the case at all. This woman has had consistent legal troubles for the past 10 years with police in our neighborhood, strange people/events that have happened there, etc. I hope that all of Mr. Tilley's friends and family get down to Tampa and start investigating independently. If this man was who you all say he is, then you need to seek more information and quite possibly a wrongful death lawsuit.

No excuse!! People choose their choices. I don't care how someone talks to you or treats you, GET OUT of the situation.

I am glad she has a gun to protect herself. Men better be ware of this. Women are tired of being victims.
