UFO sighting over Escondido last night? Oct 9 2009

Did anyone else see the triangular shaped flashing object over Escondido Last night? While at Cruising Grand a group of individuals noticed an object high in the sky that was triangular shaped and had flashing lights of white red and a bluish color. The object moved very very slowly then dropped down what looked like thousands of feet only to jet up again in a matter of seconds. Very strange, and a lot of people were taking pictures and watching this object.

I didn't see it but I want to be there when it happends.

I did see something wierd near Lake Hodges in very late afternoon/early evening, but couldn't figure out what it was and then thought it was some kind of optical illusion. It was like a grey triangle of light with blue hues coming from the hills to the northeast. I thought maybe it was some kind of light trick. I was at the Escondido movie theater and I saw it too. A few people were looking up and taking pix so I looked to see what they were looking at. I saw a red lights in a V shape with strange blue lights flashing. I took video with my camera phone but it was so far away you can't really make it out.

How is there no mention really of this occurance?? It was there but like Karen said my camera phones pic doesn't really show it. On another note we called the cops and they told us it was weather ballons, yet helicopters were out and as soon as they got close, the object took off not to be seen again.

Any good photos posted up yet? The camera phone pics weren't very good.

The cops said it was a weather balloon? There's no way that's what it was. It didn't move with the with the wind and it didn't move like a plane or helicopter. I don't know what it was but it was not a balloon.

I saw it!

At first I thought it was a very bright meteor or something coming into the atmosphere from space. Then it disappeared and I could see it higher up in the atmostphere. I kept trying to figure out what it could and telling my housemate to look at it. I kept thinking there's no way that's a UFO but what else could it be...

Then I find this post - that thing was like nothing I've ever imagined.

a) It was huge
b) It was brighter than anything I've ever seen in the sky.
c) It was higher up than anything I've seen flying.
D) It was moving faster than anytihng I've seen flying before.
d) It disappeared into space, or the lights went off, or the sun stopped hitting the object just right...

Let's get to the bottome of this. I know what I saw and I have a witness that saw it with me.

I saw it from the cliffs at Solana Beach...

Smartie here saw my object Oct 14. Either same thing different day or different object. I'm guessing I'm updating the same type of flying object with a more discrete sighting 4 days later right at sunset.

Has anybody seen the first season of the x-files?

it was a kite with LED lights look it up on google, thats all it was.

I saw something similar over solana beach/del mar this evening around 6:20 (Oct 30,2009). Smaller than a blimp, but much bigger than a kite, with only red flashing lights alternating top and bottom. It was stationary, but then it was gone from sight. I thought maybe it was a funny halloween hoax (balloon boy costume?) and maybe it just disappeared when I went down out of the line of sight. But I'm not sure...

i seen it tonight on November 6 at around 9:00 PM from my hotel in Escondido it seamed to move up and down , red and blue white lights flashing , i try to take a photo but no good , i could see the clouds in front of it from my point of view , it was up very hi and large .

now they are trying to cover it up with a kite so fast their was a black unmarked car and two people dressed in black came out....

was it being followed by a square and a circle?
