That says a lot about Vallejo PD... After the first shooting the officer should have been put on admin leave and had a phsyc test. They will arrest or shoot at a drop of a dime, but they won't check the officers and make sure that its not a metal wallet before shooting. I don't feel safe in Vallejo because the Officers are just here for the check... Not to "serve and protect."

It is not the Officers' fault.

They are responding as necessary. If a puke goes for a gun the ONLY correct response is to blast them.

People need to get out of a fantasy world of cowboy winging them or tasers...

If you think any different you would not last very long as a cop.

Lesson: Never reach for a gun in front of a cop.

If these people indeed had guns and aimed them at VPD then GOOD FOR VPD! They did their job! They are not counselors, they are cops! Aim a gun at a cop you should expect you will be shot MULTIPLE times! The only questions would arise if there is no weapon at the scene.
One thing is for sure, VPD did themselves no favors when they had cadets transporting ARMED prisoners to Fairfield because VPD didn't bother to search the suspects first.
Makes all those "top notch" comments questionable. Like the cops or hate them, having cadets transport prisoners without properly searching them is nothing less than incompetence and there should be no second chances for these types of errors.

As I recall, there was much demand and wailing to take regular cops off that detail.

The guy that was shot at Safeway on the 4th didn't even have a gun on him... It was in his car. They still shot him because of the way he moved. All I'm saying in VPD is so quick to pull the trigger... I was talking to an officer recently and he agreed with me. He said that most cops are there for the check and know that they have the Department to back them up so if they do bad they will be backed up! SMH!! I know they are doing their jobs but they shouldn't look at everyone as a criminal....

Because of the way he moved? That and a totality of circumstances? Yep that's enough too. Bang!

He didn't even have a gun on him.... That was my point. This many shootings in such a short period of time because of Capoots death is just an excuse. RiP officer Capoot....

LOL, nice try, I know the cadet and about the pending lawsuit. If VPD searched the suspect, PLEASE expalin how he wound up in Fairfield with a gun in the small of his back while handcuffed and explain why a CADET transported him? Deny all you like, it will be public knowledge soon.

There was much bawling about using sworn to transport. And who would file a lawsuit if authorities found a weapon at the jail?

It was not found in the jail numb nuts. Fairfield PD actually searched him upon arrival and found it.(Do you know ANYTHING about procedure?) If you are too stupid to know who would file the lawsuit I recommend you stick to something more your speed. No other PD has unarmed cadets transport prisoners, but then again, being the genious that you are, you already know that.
I recommend we have you transport prisoners without them being searched.

Mel, you should go to the District Attorney's office and make a statement. If you are afraid of the police then the attorney's office is a safe place to go.

If you have to worry about the police then We have to worry about You. A few more pine boxes and Vallejo MIGHT be a safe place to walk down the street in again.
