1 With San Rafael's reserve $ less than $3mil, maybe he can expedite the San Rafael's bankruptcy process. Oh I forgot, with the leaders we have inplace in San Rafael, did we really need this guy to assist us for declaring bankruptcy!! I guess he can bring in some great ideas, and with his experience in Valle-who_e he will be a great asset to our City. Only in Marin.... |

Unbelievable... now I can rest in peace. Whatever next - Sirhan Sirhan for Marin County Sheriff?

Careful Rick, you see the welcome mat is laced with tacks. These blowhards are in the minority, pay them no due.

With downtown San Rafael looking more like a third world slum, this poor guy really has a difficult job.
|
|||
Yes, we question why he was chosen? Did the guy from East St. Louis turn us down?? |

I wonder if Rick Wells charmed the rest of you like he did when he was hired for the position at the Vallejo Chamber. To the current employees...I would look for new employment. He likes to clean house.

Omg, this is NOT a good sign. Vallejo business is in the toilet. So what does this guy do? He gives up and abandons ship. I cannot believe the SR Chamber of Commerce hired this guy. Then again, he is rather cute and hunky-looking. Hmmmmm.

Vallejo Chamber of Commerce has been an ally of those Vallejo city employees who were getting some 80% of the city's general fund and drove the city to bankruptcy. I wish the City of San Rafael and its residents much luck!

Yep, my first thought was also that Vallejo was the first California city to declare bankruptcy. Guess he'll help San Rafael do the same! lol

I can't believe how uninformed most of you are! The chamber is not part of city government. Chambers are private non-for-profit mutual benefit corporations. To tie the chamber to what has happened to city government is ridiculous and unfair! Rick is a quality individual and will do a great job for San Rafael if given the chance.

Change will do this city good. I am not sure that sacrificing a scape goat up for the gods of San Rafael will do any good.
There is a wind of change in air but unfortunately it will take 20 years to change a business community full of old faux-liberals unwilling to work with anyone to revive their chamber. CEOs have come and gone and the fat cats of the city seem pretty happy just riding the calm tide of mediocrity. Remember it takes a team to build a chamber, too bad Rick has a stubborn B-team to help him. If failure in everyone’s eyes is eminent, then it will be because of the people surrounding Rick, not him. |
