Miessner measures up for Solano County Supervisor
http://www.timesheraldonline.com/letters/ci_2...

One of the reasons I'm supporting Katy Miessner for Solano County Supervisor is her demonstrated financial expertise, especially when compared to the other candidates.

While I appreciate Mayor Intintoli's service to the city, during his terms as mayor he participated in the approval of employee contracts which resulted in benefits which were not supportable by the city's revenues. Councilmember Hannigan also fell into this trap of supporting special interests by voting for these unsustainable contracts. Their votes -- along with other council members -- laid the foundation for the financial crisis that drove Vallejo into bankruptcy. These mistakes make it difficult to have confidence that either of them will change their approach to exercising the fiscal responsibility necessary to manage our county's declining resources. In order to support either of them, I would have to hope they would not continue these past practices. I would rather support a candidate who is committed to sound financial management practices and is not being supported by any special interests that will expect contract favors.

Please join me in voting for a voice of reason for Solano County District 1 Supervisor and cast your vote for Katy Miessner. I know from personal experience that she has the ability to ask the tough questions and make responsible decisions.

This guy is easily convinced on how to determine the quals of a candidate. Miessner has proven to be a fervent critic of public safety, unions, and "good old boys"(whoever that is at the time).
She is filling the spot Babs thought Gomes would want after many "restless nights of the soul"(Gomes). She is unqualified to deal with county level governance, IMO.
Another progressive super-lib, no stranger to cronyism as witnessed by her federal contract job at the Forest Service where Gomes works.

Please join me in NOT voting for Katy Miessner, wolf in sheep's clothing. Co Editor of the notorious anti organized labor, anti police and anti fire fighter website VIB, which has done nothing but divide Vallejo. Miessner's serving as a financial overseer of a non profit organization does not qualify her for County Supervisor. She is inexperienced and biased towards the interests of the handful of misfits who subscribe to the hateful VIB mentality. I'm voting for Erin Hannigan. Please join me in doing so.

Mr. Albright, I am surprised that someone living in District 2 is endorsing an individual running for District 1. Have you moved?

FOTFLMAO!!! how politically stupid can you be? never mind. that doesn't require an answer. have you looked at erin's endorsement list? she has people from all over the county, including the three up county supervisers. seems as if erin has already revealed her allegiance and it's not to the citizens of vallejo.

The saddest part is the obscene amount of money being wasted on her campaign.

and those fliers. They ought to have a warning not to look at them directly. Looking at Katy is like looking at Medussa. Her ugliness will turn a person to stone.
