phony locksmith

Hi,

I'm not looking for posts. I need a locksmith located here in New York. Until now I've only found this:

i have noticed in northern virginia yellow pages there are about 55 listing for locksmith 35 of those have different names but all transfer to usa locksmiths. they list addresses that are empty buildings , homes, and occupied building that are not locksmiths. how do you stop this. they are qouting one price over the phone and giving anouther price when they go out.checking the internet for usa locksmiths they see to be in every state ripping people off .what is the next step in stopping this business?

im a virginia lock and safe tech. my suggestion for best sevice would be to contact aloa or savta per their web sites. both are trade associations. they screen applicants. they can give you a list of local technicians that are known to be legitimate.

Charolle White, 1-31-2008 There is now a Bill that is being passed in Richmond that will stop the Phony locksmiths from being able to advertise without a License number. The Bill is HB-462 if you call your Delegate & Senator and ask them to vote for the Bill. This is how you stop them.
We need your support and all of your friends to pass the Bill.

Hi, The Virginia Locksmith License Bill passed and was signed into law by the Governor of Virginia. Anyone advertising in Sprinfield Lorton Fairfax Annandale Centreville Alexandria Arlington Kingstowne Sterling Woodbridge Ashburn Chantilly Leesburg Tysons Corner Mclean will now have to include a License number in their ads.
