Explanation: A core buildup is a procedure intended to restore a missing tooth structure, the intent of the filling is to close and seal a root canal. My previous dentist (Dr Healy) office records show that tooth #15 was patched on 2 different surfaces on May 1 2008,(Aetna claim ID EJFADH3HG00) another surface was covered with cement forming one the wings holding the Marilyn Bridge over the then missing #14 tooth. It is impossible that tooth #15 developed a cavity requiring a core buildup between May 1, 2008 and Oct 16, 2008. This is a fraudulent overcharge such work was never performed.

Service Code: D6066, Date of service: 11/08/08, Tooth #14, Cost to patient:$3525 total charge $4350.

Explanation: This is an “Implant supported porcelain fused to metal crown”. The market price for this crown is $1650 and is paid at 50% by Aetna. This is a fraudulent overcharge of $2700 for such price was never agreed upon and is by far an unethical price gouging.
