This thread is being used for information regarding the school. I thought this thread was to support Valwood and its students. This conversation does not lend itself to put Valwood in a positive light. As a parent , I am sure you do not want your children's school represented this way. I think a bad joke has kind of derailed this thread. Maybe it would be best for this thread to die down. Respectfully,

However, we expect this, too, will have "spin" on it such that no parent -- past/present/future -- will really ever know the truth.

Valwood School needs to hire Floyd Rose as Head Master. He should be available after he gets through with Lanier County.

Cobb Atkinson did resign as headmaster but will continue until the end of the school year. If they do not find a replacement by the next school year, Chuck Glassmeyer will become headmaster and Valwood will for sure be closing soon. Hopefully they will get someone new that can turn the school around. However I fear it is too late.

will tuition go up or down next year? once a certain point is reached the remaining kids may wish to leave because of limited amount of social interaction at school. i do not see how valwood can field teams in some sports if numbers decline much more.

If normal people (not Doctors, Lawyers etc.) could afford the school it might keep going but as it stands if your parents do not make over six figures you do not fit in with the kids at that school or the other parents, the school may offer very good education but training the future snobbs is not the way to go in this economy.
