Inmate Found Dead In Lowndes County Jail

i was in jail when a older white man didnt wake up during quiet time, which everybody in dorm b4 knew it was cause of the sorry medical staff

do anybody know who it was because it probably could've been my uncle and i'm concerned.

man i was locked up for a little while in lowndes county and you can't get a CO to your block all day if you sat there screamin for them they wont ever figure that shit out

does anyboby know why he died? i am very concerned because someones family member just died.

you will be crazy to get in trouble to go to anybody jail when you get in jail in lowndes county you might as well forget it to many people died in there

I know from experience that the medical staff of the Lowndes County Jail are not only grossly negligent in their duties;They are sadisticly inhumane. They actually appear to get gross pleasure from the denial of the most basic of emergency care to inmates. There is a bullying mentality among the entire staff ( except for a 5% exception)of the Lowndes County Jail. it is an outrage that this institution is allowed to continue operation with the violations of the law regarding the treatment of inmates in the United States of America. Let's not forget that included in the inmate population of the jail are people "accused" not "convicted" of a crime. They are sick, sick people with a hatred and a variety of untreated mental illnesses who have found a place of employment where their pathologies are not only condoned , but encouraged to thrive and grow. The Sheriff and all people in authority over the Lowndes Count Jail should be ashamed and prosecuted for gross their disgusting misuse of power. They should be made to serve sentences as inmates at this House of Horrors!!!!!!!!!!

Man Lowndes Co. jail is hell nobody don't want to go there because they don't care about u and they don't feed you they will let u die in there. All they care about is that money they are getting from us.

I have personally been to Lowndes and it is Hell. They do not give a damn about you. I was in B4 and spoke to some of the folks who were there when that man died. An officerwas in the booth and while bein informed serval times by the inmates that that man needed help, the officer just sat there. By time he got off his ass it was too late. FUCK THAT PLACE!!!!

ok...first of all. Jail is not a place for you to call home. If you are so damn worried bout how the lowndes county jail treats your ass maybe you shouldnt be so stupid to get put in jail. I am so sick and tired of people bitching about how jails and prisons treats them. That is a place for sex offenders, murderers, rapist, etc. All be damned if I feel that they should be treated like a goddess or god. keep your ass out of jail and if you cant stop damn bitching..

I've been locked up in lowndes on 2 different occassions. On the 1st occasion i was put into a jail cell with the windows broke out and this was in February with a temperature outside of 30 degrees. I was given a very thin blanket and was left there to freeze for the night. The 2nd trip I took to Lowndes county was for a longer stay. One of the member staying in my cell with me had a bug that crawled into his ear and his ear had grown to a swelled condition. Though he told every officer he saw, no medical attintion was provided for him by the time I left. I conclude that jail should not be a place of comfort, but as americans our jail systems need to be humane. I believe that there needs to some sort of interrogation of lowndes county because there is known prisoner abuse and nothing is being done about it.

Priss: Half the people in our jails are there for victimless crimes (Smokin weed). So dont use bullshit arguments for the inhumane treatment of prisoners.

Still say "If you can't do the TIME don't do the CRIME". Keep your butt out of trouble and you will not have to go to ANY jail, good or bad!!!!!!!!!! Let's remenber that people are sent to jail for a number of reasons. Not just for murder or rape ect. It's ignorant to put jail and prision in the same catagory because the people in jail are not convicted, only accused. I'm not saying that some or most are innocent, but I hope you remenber this if somehow you or someone you care about is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is sent to this inhumane place.

There are people serving time in jails, You can serve up to 364 days in a county jail. There ARE convicted felons in county jails. Most jails have federal and state contracts and house their prisoners. "If you can't do the 'time' don't do the 'crime'". STOP BELLY ACHING

Pray for those people don't judge untill you've been in thier shoes.
