You need to get off this Forum and start protecting the Citizens in your City ! Are you aware of the Robberies and Killings going on in your county ? I'm not usually a name caller, but some times it's appropriate to call the cauldron black ! I'm wondering if anyone else is calling your Department, The Keystone Cops !I'm guessing your Department never catches a COLD ! Get it ? |

1 LOL? Valdosta, am I the only one not laughing at what Booger just said? I personally don't see anything funny about this comment. I'm not sure exactly who Booger was responding to, but contrary to what Booger believes, black people have wonderful lives, not pitiful lives. We thank God everyday for His blessings. No, we are not hating on white people or blaming them for anything. And Booger, if you're listening, God has given us a sound mind, the spirit of unity, and the spirit of peace. We love all people, including white people. I'll leave it there! Another Prine supporter with the screen name ‘Avenged’ wrote:“Now that the unwanted Hart is out maybe we can go get his votes! That would have been a heal of a deal, wouldn’t it? Can you see us working for them? I thank you for all the information you were able to give me. A lot of them voted, over 1,500. You said there were not enough registered to climb that high but they fooled us. How did you get that information you got on the voters, that was sweet! Well, got to go. Here comes the boss. Talk to you this afternoon.”(Source: www.topix.com , under the Article: Candidates Square Off Tonight in Forum, pg. 24, comment #508) Climb that high? Are we monkeys now? Can you see us working for "them"? In case you didn’t know, "them", in this instance, means black people. Prine supporters thought "we" weren’t registered to vote, and I guess they thought "we" wouldn't be able to read this, either. They are too brazen, if you ask me. But wait… there’s more! |

1 While Chris Prine himself did not write these comments, I hasten to add that these are his 'homeboys' and his supporters. Furthermore, Prine has not distanced himself or denounced these supporters for making these racially vile comments. Prine is 65 years old and has retired from law enforcement after completing 30 to 40 years of service. Most of those years, I am told, were rooted in the sixties & seventies when it was deemed ‘okay’ to make such public (or private) statements. Nowadays, it is not okay. I repeat, it is NOT okay! On Prine's resume, he lists being active on some kind of strike force that many remember for beating African-Americans in the seventies. Valdosta, are you sure you want Prine running our jails? This is not a black or white issue. Rather, this is a issue of humanity. We're talking law enforcement here, a very sensitive subject when it comes to the African-American community. We must root out racism and discrimination where ever it rears its ugly head, whatever form it takes. Do you want another 'Jenna 6' incident right here in Valdosta? Do we need another 'Sean Bell' murder to take place on our turf and feel rendered helpless to do anything about it? God forbid. We cannot afford to go backwards... to the good ole days. It has taken us too long to get this far. For the first time in the history of Lowndes County, since 1825,(yeah that's right, it's taken 138 years)... We now have the first African-American Lieutenant with the Sheriff's Department of Lowndes County. This was only possible with the tenure of Ashley Paulk and his protege JD Yeager. Valdosta, I pray we get it right this time. Please vote on Aug. 5th! Tell your family, friends, and church members to VOTE! Deeply disturbed, Rhonda Muhammad …logging out! |

1 Add as friend View Blog Posts Valdosta, You cannot afford to sit home and not vote in the run-off election for Sheriff of Lowndes County. Last week, it was brought to my attention concerning a website where grossly racial comments were made by Chris Prine supporters. After sifting through several messages and comments, I was able to confirm that Prine supporters did, in deed, leave many vile messages and comments that degrade the African-American community of Lowndes County. A Prine supporter with the screen name ‘Booger’ wrote: "Quit hating ‘cause you’re black and quit blaming the whites for your pitiful life… it shows in your post… you need to go take your High Blood Pressure Medicine or …hell… have a drink,…LOL…”(Source: www.topix.com , under the Article: Candidates Square Off Tonight in Forum, pg. 26, comment #531) LOL? Whoa there Sparky! Whether you know it or not, we do get time off as well! I only visit here from my home computer, on my time!! I'll have you know that I have been faithfully serving the citizens of this county for 13 years and take great pride in that! I will continue to do so, even despite attitudes like yours. I was simply asking what "new developments" had arisen. I only come here to ensure that our voices are heard, since this site is full of falsehoods and halftruths. I don't sling mud, however, I ill not cower to unwarranted attacks such as yours. Yes, unfortunately those things do occur in our county, much like any toher place in the world. It hurts us deeply when something like that occurs. How dare you use a forum like this to make such brash comments and accusations. You sir, or ma'am, are the true definition of coward! You're experience in law enforcement is what, again? Watching a 30 minute show minus commercials?? Don't you ever think for one minute that we don't do all we can to protect our citizens. Perhaps you should do a ride along with an officer or deputy to see it from our side before you make such brash comments. Then again, you are probably sitting there laughing your tale off and slapping high fives with your drinking buddies because you were man or woman enough to make such a brave stance in an anonymous fashion! By the way, as for the ride along, that invitation does not apply to me. I would not let you darken the door of my patrol car. I keep my car clean, I don't think Ajax would remove that! |

If they’d take half a minute to look beyond color themselves, educate themselves on the candidate and what he’s supposed to do in the Office of the Sheriff, they’d be a formidable force.”(Source: www.topix.com , under the Article: Candidates Square Off Tonight in Forum, pg. 25, comment #528) While Chris Prine himself did not write these comments, I hasten to add that these are his 'homeboys' and his supporters. 1 What is interesting in how David Arnold is drawing a retirement salary and drawing a road patrol salary at the same time... heard him talking about it.... Special priviledges for special people. Guess he knew too much about certain people and worked out a deal with Sheriff Paulk and Capt. Yeager for this sweet deal so that he could get more money for his silence, hmmm? Funny thing is that he and the others should have remembered that there are always people listenening when they are sitting around talking while they are drinking their coffee and running their mouths. Double pay for half the work? I don't think the taxpayers like that too much. Just hope that the audit that is coming turns up all of Sheriff Paulks dirty dealings and throws all of those low life dogs out with the dirty bath water. |

2 Secondly, if you have read all of the post you will see also that there have been a lot of post by Chris Prine supporters that have gone to the aid of Roy Hart and the black community as the J.D. Yeager camp has tried to slander Mr. Hart as a child molester. Ms. Muhammad, if you had met Capt. J.D. Yeager in real life, like so many of us have, or worked with Capt. Yeager like so many of us have then you would know that he doesn't always have the most perfect relationship with people of color. Don't believe me? Why don't you look up Mrs. Cheryl Hunter and ask her. Ask her what it feels like to have someone walk in and fire you one day for no reason at all. Ask her what if feels like to have years of service and your retirement vanish before your eyes. Then ask her what it feels like to face tremendously tough financial times because a Capt. Yeager took your financial security away. Yes then this same Capt. Yeager came back and courted you and your family because your Mother is Mrs. Mildred Hunter ( a prominent black leader) because he wanted your votes in the election. Capt. yeager dangled a job in your face just for the election but couldn't be bothered any other time to speak to you? Now what do you think about Capt. Yeager? Chris Prine has not said one derogatory thing about the african-american race at any point in this election campaign. Not one. A few haters from the Yeager camp have tried to post as Prine supporters. That is the fact. Speak to Chris Prine. Then tell your friends the REAL TRUTH! |

1 There's nothing wrong with a very heated election, for this means the community has been "stimulated". However, racially disturbing comments should not be tolerated, ever! No one's race should ever be called into question. And for those who want to know who I am.... I am a very concerned citizen of Lowndes County and I want to address the issues. If this were JD Yeager, the same thing applies. I did not know JD before this election, but because his campaign wasn't scared to hand out fliers on the southside of town (where I live), I began to take a second look at this whole Sheriff Election. I have been researching both candidates, you've got to believe me on this one. JD Yeager did not get a free ride. He's just better suited for the job, in our opinion. Yes, Yeager has fired people, but if Prine had been in his position, Prine would have fired people, too. Question is: Has Yeager fired anyone just because they are black, or female, or a Muslim, or Christian, for that matter? I have been registering voters (all races) and have become actively involved in the Obama campaign. But whether you agree w/ my political views or not, I want people to become involved in the political process. Trust me, I've awakened many African-American voters on every level of government- local, state, and national. I'm following my heart on this one! |

2 You need to back up.....Chris Prine supporters have not made any racial comments.....I will agree there were some made but if I recall correctly they were all started by Mr.Rose and not Chris. Chris Prine has never ever been a racist and never will be.He believes that everyone is equal. So you need to re-read some of your crap and get it straight.... Vote Chris Prine if you ant to make Lowndes County the way it should be.No favoritism shown to no one regardless of race or religion.. Prine the New Sheriff In Title Town USA |
