la tuna federal prison camp

I have a son that is in LA TUNA federal prison camp.
He has been there for one month and tells me not to worry because he is ok"but i worry that he may not be telling me all there is
to be told just to keep me from worrying about him.
If any one knows anything please tell me

Well, go to fedcure.org it is in yahoo groups and there is a conversation going on there. Search until you find the topics about where your son is.

join the yahoo group there and theres a lot on there about el paso and anthony new mexico. You will learn a lot from reading those posts.

The education level in this thread is amazing.

Ma'am Don't worry! i was in La Tuna Federal Prison and I know that it's a medium-low security prison they don't have "hard" criminals in that facility. As long as he doesn't look for problems he shouldn't have problems. God Bless and Good Luck!

We all make mistakes and I think that you should commend this womens son for facing the consquences of his wrong doings instead of portraying yourself to be "perfection".

The big mistake was the mama not using a system of birth control ,it is obvious her parenting skill is non- existent.
Too bad birthin' is encouraged in our social milieu, perhaps a hang over from the " go forth and multiply " days .

IS he in the camp, or the main prison? Dosn't raly matter, they are both pretty mellow as far as prison goes. I did a couple of years there a long time ago, and I never had a problem. Just tell him to mind his own business, don't gamble, do drugs, or mess with the he/shes, and he will be fine

Iv been worry about my husband he was suppose to be getting out before Nov 2006 to go to a halfway house somewhere in Tx . I havent heard from him since June 2006? Is there a wedsite for inmates to be found or release dates.Bacon where are you, if anyone could give me some advice, on how to go about finding more information on this matter.Please Help. Thank you

I live in Anthony about 3 miles away from vinton (that is where LA TUNA is) It is pretty calm. They dont have HArdcore Criminals there. They have Drug dealers or Thieves their. Its not hardcore at all.

So sorry. My son is also in federal prison. Stay strong. We all may be going in soon with our Nazi government.

Stay strong and move out of worry as what you think about expands so just visualize him safe. My son is in federal prison taking classes. Ignore the ignorant ones who have no clue about what's going on in the prison system. They'll be there soon enough. What me guilty? The government corrrupt? Nazi camps? Surely you jest. uh huh

I have an uncle that is in prison in Anthony TX and I am not sure if this is the correct prison. If at all possible, can someone post the phone # so I am able to contact them please.

This facility is probably one of the worst in the nation. We've encountered discrimination, cockroaches in the food, all prisoners being the shu upon arrival, a two man shu unit with 3 or more in the 6x9 cell, food that I wouldn't feed a dog, and tonight my son was entrapped.
Visiting isn't bad if Officer Soria is on the desk, otherwise, it can be a nightmare and for a newbie, beware, some of the visitors are downright nasty. However, mostly it's okay. Park, if there is a line at 7am on the highway, get in line, wait to go up to the building (I play dumb and just go) when the officer gets ready, take a visitor form, use your own pen! and then leave it there. After filling out the form, use a small bottle of antibacterial stuff to clean your hands, wipe down your pockets with a wet wipe. You should pass the ion spectrometer with this. However they are known for having false positives. Do request a second test and a clean wipe when this happens.
Make sure you get there before 8:15 to see your son before noon. There is a 10 oclock count that can interfere and you want to avoid this at all counts. Bring a roll of quarters and 10 ones that you put in a baggie the night before. Do not touch the money from that time until you get inside. Take your id with you and know your car license plate. Do not put your id in the plastic bag. All money has drugs on it - less chance of a positive reading.
good luck - it took me countless mails and emails to finally see my son after 8 weeks. The first 5 there were no phone calls.
