I live in the Browns Valley area. It used to be a safe wholesome place to raise a family. Gangs have taken over. Gang graffiti is everywhere. When removed, it's back the next day. There have been two robberies and a host of othe types of vandalism to our parks and schools in recent months. We have become the new Fairfield and I don't like it. We need to do something and soon. I'll back any City Council candidate that will come up with a workable plan that focuses on reducing crime.

For the people that voted not sure, may I suggest you take another look. 20 years ago I lived in the bay area. I would occasionally read in the paper about gangs in LA, mostly Crips and the Bloods. I thought, naively, that LA's 400 miles away. I guarantee they wern't in Vacaville. Take a look now, their everywhere.

It was Culver City vs. Venice.....and they were Chicanos that killed someone at my high school....Viva La Raza, my behind....killers.

Love your comment. It's sad but true. We collectively have allowed this to get so out of hand, we would have to waste a generation to fix it. Is Vacaville safe for Christ sakes….the areas the people refer to as the ghettos, please go to central LA or better yet Richmond on 15th and Rumrail, then you’ll have reason to be scared. You people are a joke what are you going to suggest next that we start a curfew and anyone caught out after 7:00 will be shot. Have you ever been to New Mexico? Go to a place like Albuquerque and then come back to California its like leave it to beaver here compared to the hardened gangsters living in that place and not just in Albuquerque in all those little towns.I appretiate Northern California after visiting those ghettos.the people there are truly ghetto and it is a scary place.I have a greater appretiation for civilized Californians after a brief stay in that 3rd world state.The gangbangers there are ruthless and very racist they do not like white people.The Sacramento/Vacaville area is a great place to live and raise children.You just cant live isolated from society.
